7. There was a thread a while back that described what it is

Here's the interview:

http://usinfo.state.gov/topical/pol/terror/texts/03110700.htm

Following is the transcript of an interview that Secretary of State Colin Powell gave to the Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper November 5:
...
Question: So do you use sleeping tablets to organize yourself?

Secretary Powell: Yes. Well, I wouldn't call them that. They're a wonderful medication -- not medication. How would you call it? They're called Ambien, which is very good. You don't use Ambien? Everybody here uses Ambien.
...

But apparently he wouldn't call them 'sleeping pills', and doesn't want to call them 'medication' either. What does he call them? Snacks? Mints? Mother's Little Helper?

4. Chalabi has pushed and bullied himself into the limelight.
That's the guy we want to support? I doubt very much if the average Iraqi wants him. Or even if there is such a thing as an average Iraqi in a country that has three distinct, competing groups.

5. I Agree With What You Say... But Look At The Other Two, And Then...
Look at Chalabi and ask, "Why is this man smiling???"

There are so many possible answers to that.

Discuss.

6. We know Bush will not allow anyone in control of Iraq
who does not agree to let US corporations run things. The problem is finding a group who will agree to that, and then protecting them from being overthrown. The government might be turned over by June, but they will need lots of military protection. So will the US corporations there.
