NY Times covers Frist's online poll shenanigans
3rd Time Is Charm in G.O.P. Web Poll

MAYBE the Internet is not always such a great political tool.

Doing its best Howard Dean, the office of Senator Bill Frist, the majority leader, tried to conduct an Internet poll to bolster the faithful before the Republicans' marathon protest session of Democratic moves to block White House judicial nominees. His Web site asked visitors to vote "yes" or "no" on whether the nominees deserved "an up or down vote on confirmation as specified in the Constitution."

To the embarrassment of Dr. Frist's staff, the vote was 60 percent "no," 40 percent "yes," with 9,224 people weighing in by Wednesday afternoon. Undaunted, his office tried again, rephrasing the question to read: "Should the Senate exercise its Constitutional duty to provide the president's judicial nominees with an up or down vote?"

The reply came back as an even more emphatic no, with 86 percent of 1,874 respondents voting no.

After a rush of Web activity Dr. Frist's office finally got its way with a new vote of 54 percent to 46 percent from 106,000 participants. Republican and Democratic operatives accused each other of trying to influence the vote.

3. From the same article,
about some hijinks by some repukes to make it look like they had been traveling with bush.

After reporters and Secret Service agents filed down the back steps of the plane, well away from the cameras and lights trained at front door from which the president was to emerge, Mr. Lott and Mr. Barbour and their wives crept up the back steps, made their way up the aisle and emerged alongside Mr. Bush as if they had been on the plane all along.

Maybe america NEEDS GeeW bush!
note: It isn't dr frist himself, he's just a cog; it's the mediawhores who support BUSH! Even with stacks of dynamite to use , the dems fall down every time the repukes break wind (rove should say that the democrats are 'gone with the wind' every election maybe?)

7. He used blowtorches on kittens?
WTF???? If this is true, he is an extremely wretched and evil man. As opposed to just an evil man.
