"Blood, Money & Power" and Political Parallels Out of Texas
It’s impossible to visit this website any length of time without confronting an overabundance of exposure to conspiracy theories, theoretical lists of “murders” condoned by powerful politicians, discussions of crimes and corruption, the sum of which eventually become mind-numbing. But at some point one must face separating the illusion of an image from the reality of the person, and for me that point came this week when I picked up a book.

It is a book that with each page I turn becomes heavier in my hand. Three chapters into the book that weight not only in my hand but heartbreaking my brain almost makes me scream. I know it is true. The details cannot be denied, the exhibits ignored, the credentials of the author disputed. And that’s what makes it so earth-shattering to read, the assertions are mind-boggling.

You know the subject under discussion as a President of the United States. You have probably not heard of the book since it has received so little publicity. But you have the right to have your attention directed toward the contents of this book. The crimes described herein and the consequences thereof upon our world are inestimable.

A narrative on the crimes both small and big committed by a politician out of Texas contains some thoughts and phrases which probably will resonate with you:

At page 2 “He was clearly psychopathic.”

At page 5 “His career was one of lost elections that were stolen … to maintain the successful conspiracy to obtain the ultimate power – the presidency …. ’’

At page 8 “(He) has the means at his control: a legal system in Texas controlled by his attorney ….”

At page 9 “Dallas, … he center for Texas oil, financial power and the military-industrial complex. There too we had right-wing politics.”

At page 12 “(He) won the election with ballots stuffed … after the election.”

At page 15 “He stood for one of the most powerful political cartels in America: Texas Oil.

At page 50 “Brown & Root … as war preparedness escalated, it would grow into a military industrial complex and become a dominant Houston-based business power.”

At page 139 “You are either for me or you are against me.”

At page 141 “After all, Texas ranked ‘only third’ among the Southern States. He opposed national anti-lynching legislation.

Stunning isn’t it, that a person of this caliber could become President of the United States? But it sometimes is the case that the image we the American people have of one of our our leaders is far different than the reality of the soul of that human being.

What is it about politicians from Texas which makes them believe they are above the law?

And who is this man who has written Blood, Money & Power, subtitled “How L.B.J. Killed J.F.K.? He was a personal attorney to Lyndon Bains Johson. His early association and later partnership with the law firm that represented Johnson put him in the center of extremely confidential information about which he was expected to never publicly talk. As an attorney, all of this information was subject to attorney-client privilege, the revelation of which would be perceived as the breach of a sacred trust. Over a period of time, Barr McClellan heard admissions by attorneys within the firm that it had planned the assassination of John Fitzgerald Kennedy.

This is a book about the making of a President through the use of assassination and the conspiracy which made the crime possible. Who most benefited from Kennedy’s death is a question which should have been asked at that time but surprisingly enough was not. The obvious answer is Lyndon Johnson. Why would Johnson conspire to kill Kennedy? Throughout his life, LBJ committed numerous crimes, even condoned the murder of his own sister, to squelch any relevations of nefarious activities which would ruin his political career. His simple goal all his life was to become president, and it did not matter how he achieved this goal. Painting a political portrait of a man without conscience and the crimes he committed to achieve money, power and influence over a lifetime, Barr captures a verbal photograph of a man who lived his life without an inherent sense to distinguish right from wrong. He would do whatever it took to get where he wanted to go, regardless of whom he needed to hurt or eliminate, whether it was his own sister or The President of the United States.

But looking at the quotes I have chosen to cite the author makes about Lyndon Johnson, do you see any parallels between Johnson and Bush.* The startling similarities between these two politicians from Texas cannot be overlooked:

Both stole an election to acquire the most powerful office in the United States.

Each is driven to act not out of a sense of right or wrong but simply by ascertaining what action must be taken to protect their own interests, as well as the corporate interests they represent.

Both represent the interests of Big Oil and the military – industrial complex. How did the oil interests benefit from Kennedy’s death? It benefited in an amounted estimated to exceed one hundred million dollars. During Johnson’s presidency, he protected the oil depletion allowance so important to the oil cartel. Extremely happy with the increased revenue they received during Johnson’s tenure in the Oval Office, his “friends” paid a bonus to the attorney who planned the Kennedy assassination. That bonus was in the amount of two million dollars.

McClellan acted as the personal attorney for his partner who claimed the bonus, Edward Clark. Read this book and you will learn the details questioned these last forty years by conspiracy theorists. Was Oswald the lone assassin or simply a patsy as he claimed. If there was more than one shooter, how did they leave the scene of the crime so quickly?

Cut from the Palast cloth in the manner in which he presents his investigative journalistic results, Barr paints such a vivid picture of the actual assassination the reader is left breathless. Answering the questions posed by conspiracy theorists for forty years, the theory of the lone gunman is washed away with facts, eyewitness reports and documents presented in his narrative. Asserting there were three gunmen (snipers never work alone), he reveals the sequence of the shots and from which sniper each shot was fired. How these assassins eluded capture is revealed in detail.

Read this book and ask yourself if our government could conceal a conspiracy which resulted in the death of John F. Kennedy for 40 years, what, I repeat what, would it not hesitate to withhold from the American people? Think about this as you extend your apologies to conspiracy theorists everywhere. And think about it long and hard.
