Wes Clark meets with (wait for it...) Madonna!!

Just saw this on Judy Woodruff's Inside Politics (CNN). Here's the best transcription I can muster, thanks to the miracle that is Tivo:

"A presidential hopeful meets the Material Girl. There is word today from Wesley Clark's campaign of a meeting between the Democratic candidate and Madonna. Clark's Communications Director, Matt Bennett (sp?), says that Clark and Madonna met for about 40 minutes on Sunday at the entertainer's mansion in Los Angeles to discuss the issues surrounding the campaign. Bennett says that the candidate would be delighted if Madonna hosted a fundraiser for Clark; but, he said, no such event was discussed at the meeting."

Hmmmm... interesting. Now, maybe she'll grow a spine and air the original version of her "American Life" video stateside?
