Just cancelled AARP membership-they will send refund |
|
I just spoke to some very weary sounding customer service reps at AARP. I'll bet they are getting 1,000's of cancellation requests. They said they would send a refund for the 1/4 year left on my membership. Please hit them where it hurts! In the pocketbook!

I use to send back their envelope with a message to never send me another but they just kept coming. They finally stoped. I didn't like supporting a special interest group. The government should be for all citizens not just those who can pay for it.

4. We did that just this afternoon |

after we sent them a scathing piece of mail and let them know over the phone just what we thought of them.

10. Me, too. I'll probably be working until the day I die. |

But you do get some very good discounts through AARP. Mainly, car insurance is a lot cheaper. But they just raised my rates, because they said they had a 10% increase. I am going to shop around and see if I can get a lower rate with other insurance companies. If so, I will be cancelling my membership with AARP. Can't cut off my nose to spite my face and cancel because I don't agree with their policy on the health issues.
