How is the "Recall Arnold" movement going?
I hear that a number of individuals have begun taking out petitions to start the Recall signature gathering process.

In his first day in office Schwarzenegger managed to increase the state's budget deficit by $4 billion and gut environmental and safety regulations.

1. This isn't the time for that
Any talk of a revenge recall ended on election night when the number of votes for Arnold exceeded the number of votes against the recall. He was considerably further ahead of his nearest opponent in the replacement election.

I didn't want this situation. I thought he was the least impressive of the five debating candidates. Nevertheless, the election results give him the benefit of the doubt.

The move to repeal the increase in auto registration fees is popular, but by itself not wise. Nevertheless, we'll have to bide our time. Let Arnold take enough rope and maybe he'll hang himself. For now, he's in the driver's seat.

4. Patience, bluestateguy, patience!
At least give Governor Schwarzenegger (shudder) time to break his no tax pledge, or to cut funding on some important program.

It won't take long for a man who deepens the deficit by $4,000,000,000 on his first day in office to do something incredibly self-destructive.

5. Always give conservs enough rope

and they will hang themselves with it. And it will help open up the eyes of the working-class idiots who support them.

One of my RW acquaintances is really getting an eyeful now that her husband was laid off and cannot find work, AND just had his veterens' benefits gutted.

It ain't pretty, but necessary at times.
