Poll question: Is there a plea bargain in the works for Limbaugh
http://abcnews.go.com/sections/WNT/US/rush_limbaugh_031118-1.html

<snip>
Radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh may have violated state money-laundering laws in the way he handled the money he used to buy the prescription drugs to which he was addicted, law enforcement officials in Florida and New York told ABCNEWS.

A conviction on such charges in Florida would be a first-degree felony, punishable by up to 30 years in prison.

Limbaugh returned to the airwaves this week after five weeks of rehabilitation for his admitted addiction to prescription painkillers.

His lawyer denied today there was any foundation for a money-laundering prosecution.

"There's no basis for these charges. He has not committed any acts of money laundering and he absolutely denies it," lawyer Roy Black told ABCNEWS. "I can assure you — and Rush assures the listeners to his radio station — when we can, we will tell the story, and he will tell it himself. Everybody will see what has really gone on here."

2. There is a major problem here
If they turn their back on him, defence attorneys will be using the Limbaugh defence.....

3. And all the folks in prison for the SAME offense will appeal
Double-edged sword here. Can of worms; rat's hole; swamp.

OXYDITTOS

Hope they choke on this.

4. NOWHERE is there public disclosure of charges being filed
But Black denies charges? How odd to deny "charges" that don't exist.

6. Will plead to a $3 parking fine, with the fine waived.
I did read something tonight saying they are looking at him for currency violations.....getting lots of cash out of the bank to fund terrorists and feed his habit. :-)

8. This is a Caponing
Caponing: busting someone who is committing every crime in the book on one you can prove. From mobster Al Capone's conviction on income tax evasion.

The safest bet here is that the rats in the sewers around the "Rush Hudson Limbaugh Institute for Advanced Conservative Studies," AKA Pigboy's house, are still high. You can't bust someone for flushed Oxycontin and you can't bust someone just on the strength of the housekeeper's wire if you have no dope to back it up, so they're going for money laundering charges.

As long as it puts Rush in prison where he belongs, it's all good.
