A Little Something I Found On AOL |
|
This is from a post on one of their message boards (a place I don't normally go to), so I can't give you a direct link, unless you're on AOL. It's from the forum discussing "Bonzo Goes to Britain." It's also utterly bizarre -- and the woman posting it sounds more than a little, er, shall we say infatuated with our Glorious Leader...
I am here with tears streaming down my face I am so mad about WHY the British would subject our dear President to the disrespectful march of protesters. This is some thanks we get for supporting their labor lackey Tony Blair in his time of need! I am so tired of liberals always getting their say and always having to say it in the most nasty minded way possible. When is it going to be time for honor and decency to have a say again?
All the Bushes are such honest, honorable people that it makes my heart swell with pride to be an American! Who could wish for better role models for our children than these fine, sterling examples of manly manhood and gracious feminity? Was there ever a first lady with more style, grace and feminine charm than Laura? Was there ever a hero larger than life than Bush, handsome, rugged like the wild Texas wind? It is a story that surpasses even that of Andrew Jackson and his wife and I hope that soemday a biographer does it justice so that young women everywhere can sigh and dream over the fairy tale life of Laura the luckiest woman of our time.
You people were shouting in the streets with glee when Clinton had sex in the White House like ancient people at some sex-crazied ritual but now we have a true man of honor and respect in the White House and you cheer when he is torn down internationally. I don't understand America at all. Why did you vote for this man then turn your backs on him when the chips are down?
Why give President Bush such a hard time for something that was inevitable anyway? War happens! Get used to it and do your civic duty! Life is not a bed of roses just for liberals!
Hannah -- One Wife, One Mother, One Republican Woman for President Bush!"

I think Americans being fed by the media are in a bubble of delusion. I say this because I work with people that have college education but say "I have to believe and trust my President."

Is this what's known as descriptive dissonance? As for all of the other typical free-speech-hating drivel, count me as not surprised. I just wanted to use this opportunity to warn the good DU'ers of Texas that the God of Creative Writing is no doubt considering sending a large lightning bolt her way.

Though I know a gay man who thinks all people should emulate GWB. I'd like to tell him what an asshole he is but business reasons (I'd get in trouble) prevent me. Maybe though, when some gays can be just as stupid as some heteros we're getting a sort of equality.

It just proves America has been dumbed down to the point of irrelevance. We are officially a fascist government with the support of people so ignorant that I hang my head in shame.

are the masses when it comes to the Bush crime family. One of these days soon, this woman will wake up and wonder what happened. What do you mean there's more pollution? The draft is back, when did that happen? Social Security is gone, how, when, how much?

Hipwaiters aren't deep enough for this crap.
But then, obviously this lady needs some kind of "role model" to make up for a totally weak character. Birds of a feather ya know.

ROTFLMAO! Is this mother gonna do her "civic duty" and send her kid/s off to die for the profits of the "luckiest woman of our time" and her "handsome, rugged" husband? I am embarrassed for this woman!

While the content is indeed vomit-inducing, it's surprisingly articulate for an AOL message board. Most AOL board participants have the grammar and spelling skills of third graders.
Y'know, it just might be Noonan. I can't imagine that she has anything better to do with her time than foam over her favorite idiot.

27. Hannah's Letter Proves Honest Abe Was Right |
|
I think I remember that poster before I shook the dust of the "Nut--Cahse" ISP from my sandals and went elsewhere. She was indeed sincere. It just goes to show that Abraham Lincoln was right--you can fool some of the people all of the time.
My temptation is to say that people like that poster will get a very rude reality check should their avatar gets his way with Social Security, Medicare, and student loan programs--but then I remember there were still loyal, hard-core Stalinists on the inside of the barbed wire during the worst of the 1930's and 1940's. Some people NEVER wise up.
