Excuse me, but Mitt Romney did not just talk like a fundie-Nazi...
"I agree with 3,000 years of recorded history," Romney said. "Marriage is an institution between a man and a woman ... and our constitution and laws should reflect that."

Jesus Christ, is it normal for MA people to talk that way? lol

1. not MA people
but then, Romney's an import from Utah. Even the people of Massachusetts vote for a pretty face when it comes their way, it seems. He's nothing but a millionaire pretty boy who thought it would be fun to run a state for a few years.

2. That's what you get for electing a Mor(m)on...
Half of them still believe in White supremacy. (The religion accepted it as truth until 1978.)

BTW, he nearly ran as a Democrat in UT.

Thank the Lord he found his political home.

9. He starts talking about Romney and same sex marriages
Now we're onto white supremacists and Mormons.

Shotgun argument: You toss a load of phrases and statements out so a counter-arguer has to address multiple subjects instead of just one.

calling Shannon O'Briend 'shrill' among other insults...I wish he'd stayed in Utah

16. I would.
She couldn't stop talking about prescription drugs and our seniors. I think she came off as narrow-minded, distant, and yes, shrill. I don't know why the state Democratic Party chose to anoint her.

10. Well then...
"I agree with 3,000 years of recorded history," Romney said.

Ah, since it is written it must be right! Have you started writing the repealment of the articles of emancipation?

Rhetorical question; they're scheduled to be revoked in 2005.

I'm sure that all those over-educated "libruls" will make dandy serving staff for your new plantation.

13. Freeper Logic: this is not an equal protection issue (WTF?)
Kerry said: "While I continue to oppose gay marriage, I believe that today’s decision calls on the Massachusetts state legislature to take action to ensure equal protection for gay couples."

Freeper responds: "Incompatible goals. We have to realize that it is not an equal protection issue."

Their brains are clearly DOA.

If you can find it, there's a documentary about Oregon's Measure 9 - the first time something like this was brought up. Check it out!

15. To bad his cultural history is so limited
If Romney were to study the traditional cultural roots of the Turtle Island Continent (North America) where he is living and governing, he might find that the cultural roots and traditions go back 30,000 years or more. From this deeper vantage, the issues appear vastly different.

19. This is why Mitt's church (LDS) is such a GOP stronghold
Mitt is only parroting the garbage from the leadership of the LDS Church. They'll bleat this stuff up to and until the gov't threatens to pull their tax exempt status (again! They got slapped over a ban on the priesthood to Blacks in the 70s), and the Church will have a sudden "revelation", rescind their fatwah, and all will be well.

I was married to an LDS woman. She was *sure* that comment in Star Trek IV was intentionally derisive of Mormons.

in their own heads. Christ, even my very LDS older relatives got a laughing kick out of Mormon jokes.

26. LOL, I roared when Capt. Kirk said that. Priceless!
The weird thing is it tends to be culturally isolated humor. I first saw that movie in a New York theater and I was the only one laughing.

28. Nah, there have been a few great Mormon Democrats....
Scott Matheson, late governor of Utah is still one of the most respected people in the region. The late Wayne Owens (D-Utah), the same. And my dad used to be the press guy for Senator Ted Moss (D-Utah) and he had number one or two seniority in the Senate until that asshole Hatch took his job. Moss is a wonderful man, very focused on environmental issues and protecting the beautiful mountain and desert Utah wilderness.

Don't let pukes like Mitt Romney, Oral Snatch, Buffalo Bob Bennet and the Cannon brothers give you the wrong impression. The sad fact is that, as of some years ago, democrat Mormmons have been losing higher political offices at shocking rates.

21. Doesn't it seem ironic for a Mormon to say marriage is between
one man and ONE woman? When their church built much of its early membership on plural marriages, and the fundamentalist sects of it still practice it in secret?

...they still have plural wives in lots of little known places around Utah and other states. They just don't talk about them.
