It hits on what I was telling a friend recently: If the public were better informed (I come from the vantage point that most Americans are willingly, blissfully unaware of the realities of politics, and more than happy to trust soundbites and leave the hard thinking to others--"More Joe Millionaire, please!"), the Republican Party could not survive.
Of course I make the same basic argument about Macs over PC's, so some of the DU may find my rationale suspect...
