Will the media allow the Dems to have any issues in 04? |
|
George McGovern's problem in 1972 - running as an anti-war candidate when (in Henry Kissinger's well-remembered words) "peace is at hand." may be the Dem's problem if the media buys the return of a few hundred troops each week next summer as something less than "buging out".
And the media response to the cut back of a few hundred thousand in jobs loss under Bush during the 3rd quarter was "Best Growth in the economy since 1984".
And now media folks suggest that by fall 04 the problems Bush has created will not be solved, but they will be "old problems" that "are being solved" - at least in the media's slant on the news.
And the only question the the media will allow a Dem to answer will be "How will you solve the problem - and do not you dare say Bush created the problem - faster than Bush".
I do love our we are not right wing GOP controlled - we just act that way - media.
:-)
Watching the EU news, I note that the media folks overthere are saying that the US media will not show the protests against Bush, and will verbally minimize the size and importance of such protests. as the US media protects Bush. Seems EU folks will not discuss why the US Media is an arm of the GOP - but they have no problem saying that it is in bed with the GOP. (this is all verbal stuff - so I have no links at this point).

1. Absolutely. In fact, the media will dictate what the issues are, viz: |
|
Dems: Pro infant murder, pro-sexual abomination, pro-child molesters teaching our childre, pro-lesbian and gay marriage, anti-heterosexual marriage, pro-saddam, pro-binladen, pro-communist, pro-.....etc.
Repukes: Pro-God and Country, pro-defense, anti-evil, pro-child, pro-motherhood, pro-apple pie, pro-,,,etc

3. the media will be the dems' opponents |

They will treat the dems as an adversary, the same way Mike Tyson did with his opponents. The idea of them being an impartial observer is as ridiculous as saying Tyson acted as referee.

7. one more for the negative column... |

Ashcroft! Everybody hates him. At the AARP forum, one of the dems mentioned his name, they showed the crowd and people were making faces and gestures of disgust. Ashcroft is gold for the dems.
