I just saw the AARP Medicare ad.....move over Harry and Louise...
It's got a string of people---men, women, white, black, and God knows what else--delivering bits of the message. One woman muses on the fact that the bill is "not perfect" and another says that "if it's not passed this year, the opportunity will be lost" (sic, that's the gist of it)...nothing like COERCION to SCARE people....sounds just like the GOP with Harry and Louise and the Clinton health plan!!

How long ago were these done?? Obviously, well before AARP sprung the news on its members!! This is even more irritating--how long they were sneaking behind their members' backs!!!!

I hope those union ads get on the air--pronto!

2. I just got through sending AARP an email.

I accused them of settling for mediocracy and undermining our advocates.
It will be a long time, possibly a decade before anyone in Congress will bring this up again -- to fix the inperfections, if we settle for crumbs now.

(Edited to replace pronoun with "AARP" in Subject line.)

3. When the woman talked about the "lost opportunity" I yelled at the TV:
Not if we get Dems in office!!!! We'll do it the right way==bulk purchase of drugs, part of the current Medicare structure. EASY, efficient.

5. Yeah, they
gave their "endorsement" before Democrats even had a chance to read it. Sounds like the commercials have been ready for awhile. The idea of novelli being newt's mole looks like reality as he has crawled out of his hole to endorse this plan to let Medicare "wither on the vine."
