7. O Canada!
Our home and native land!
True patriot love in all thy sons command.
With glowing hearts we see thee rise,
the true north strong and free.
From far and wide, O Canada,
we stand on guard for thee.
God keep our land glorious and free,
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee!

13. O Canada!
O Canada! Terre de nos aïeux,
Ton front est ceint de fleurons glorieux!

Car ton bras sait porter l'épée,
Il sait porter la croix!

Ton histoire est une épopée
Des plus brillants exploits.

Et ta valeur, de foi trempée,
Protégera nos foyers et nos droits.

Protégera nos foyers et nos droits.

I already know it, and
I'm already laying the groundwork for immigration to Canada next year, because I just can't fucking take it anymore. I've been fighting against repukes my whole life, and I remember the horrendous uphill battle when Raygun was president. No matter what the man did, and how you tried to make the sheeple aware of it, it never did any good, he was still covered with teflon.

And now we have someone so much worse he makes Raygun look like Mickey Mouse, and who's even more dangerous because he actually has something Raygun didn't, control of all three branches of government. And the damned sheeple STILL can't wake up and see that, and they're destroying this country as we knew it and everything it stood for. And I refuse to live and finish raising my son in a country whose citizens are stupid and unpatriotic enough to vote for their own destruction when they've been damn well made aware of who and what he really is!

20. Go ahead
Surrender. Let 'em win. Run away.

Me? This is my country, I'll stay and fight for it.

Am not slamming you personally...just making a point about making a stand. I'll make mine here in NYC. My Home, built by the blood and sweat of my people. I'll not give it up just to save my own ass from prosecution or persecution.

3. Sorry Pete. Want to come to Canada?
The wife said in May of 2000, "The country isn't stupid enough to slit their own throats by electing Bush."

Granted, he was not "Elected." But I said to her at the time, "There are more ways than one to move into 1600 Pennsylvania."

I ain't no prophet, but I'd say the chances are better than 50/50 that Bush will stay in office.

Shitty odds if you ask me.

4. I regret to inform you
but I think we are the ones who are supposed to wake everyone up. We are the vanguards of a renewed movement.

The traditional mainstream media is NEVER going to serve our purposes, so it is up to us to get the message and the truth out there in whatever way is possible.

Sounds like you're feeling tired and discouraged today. I'm sure tomorrow will be better. :D

19. Thanks for the clarification
I obviously misread your post.

And I agree, it scares me to think of all the Bushbots going to the polls and voting for this situation to continue. I truly believe that the fate of our country and the world rests on the outcome of this next election.

8. Yup.
"Just watch Bush win the next election."

He could very well win in a landslide. He could be caught on video sodomizing young boys and his supporters would say that it proves that he just loves kids.

Or the powers that be in this country could allow a Dem to win, giving us the illusion of freedom and Democracy in this country.

21. Wrong. He got all the votes he could get and we still beat him.
Another Du'r pointed out that he had taken 97% of the republican vote last time. That's all he can get, and we still beat him. What new group will he bring to the polls? None. The Repubs are starting to understand the losses they are suffering to the Neo party, i.e. pro-choice loss to the Neos' with ahnolds election, Big Government argument lost to the Neo's, Huge defecits and balanced budget arguments lost to the Neo's.
Please do not abandon Our Country when she needs you.

10. In Miami a CNN
reporter's camera was smashed by the police as they were filming the "rowdy" crowd. The CNN newsdesk person said it looked like the police were letting the crowd "vent" their prostest. Well, it sure didn't look that way to me. From the air they looked like a bunch of big ants swarming on the the colorful crowd like feasting on a caterpillar.

Hell, no! It's Michael Jackson. Will he turn himself in? Tonight, "Hardball" will consider what this case could do to the boy who was abused.

25. on a positive note, let me relay this little gem...
My mother-in-law,(70s,lifelong repuke, only watches fauxnews, voted for chimpass*) told my husband 2 weeks ago she would never vote for him again! She also said all of her repuke lady friends feel the same way, they want him GONE! No wonder the BFEE is making sure those voting machines are spread across the country in time for 2004.

So she could finally vote against a Republican for pres. She voted for every Republican candidate except Nixon's second term. But she would be appalled by Shrubya's antics.

26. I thought so yesterday when he was making his speech.
Too many Americans admire that type of leadership. FAR too many.

And TOO many others will now be distracted with a yearlong Michael Jackson show, just like when the GOP took over Congress during the OJ saga.

27. I just heard Linda Vester of FOX make the comment that....
(paraphrasing)but Bush only wants other people to have the same "freedoms" as we have in this country, to assemble and protest. Is she totally oblivious to what is happening in our country?

One of my colleagues -- the horse's rump who is always trying to polarize people -- just stood outside my door and said loudly:

"I know this: George Bush is going to win reelection next year. And I'm happy because I love my country."

I just had to escape to DU and be amongst kindred spirits for a while.

But guess what? The guy is wrong!

On edit: Why is he wrong? Because Bush *is* alienating those who supported him during the last election. They've been hurt too much in the pocketbook. They're sick of his war. They don't think he can protect them anymore. He's becoming a joke to the most reasonable people who voted for him last time.
