Buy American: Something the Freeps and Us Agree Upon?
Here comes the holidays, and it's a good opportunity - if you're buying gifts this season - to help jobs and the economy. I was searching the 'net for databases of American Made products, and they all seem to have a freep-ish message attached to it...

Heres one example: http://madeinusa.org , where the homepage message is:
Message to Sadam(sic)Hussain:
Be afraid... be VERY AFRAID

I have no idea what that has to do with buying American, but otherwise, It's a pretty good resource.

The point is, not only is "Buy American" an appealing & timely message to a wide cross-section of the population, but it's one that's really been under the radar. We can hop on this & turn the Buy American message into our message, before the Freeps use it for evil instead of good.

1. It depends on the company, IMO

5. Nationalistic nonsense.
I buy the best quality stuff I can find after boycotting companies known to use sweat-shop labor. I'm not going to go buy crap I don't need because it was assembled by exploited workers in one country and not another.

I'm a teacher- do I run around trying to guilt trip factory workers who can't afford it into going to college to keep me employed?
