NAFTA / WTO some thoughts for those who say we need them.
Edited on Thu Nov-20-03 08:40 PM by diamondsoul
I wasn't directly affected by NAFTA, except I could afford to buy a few things I couldn't before. Guess what? I don't buy those things because I found out how they came to be cheap.

For everyone who insists we can't pull out of these treaties, I would strongly recommend you read some of the comments from these pages-

http://resources.kucinich.us/tiki-view_forum_thread.php?topics_offset=&topics_sort_mode=&topics_threshold=&topics_find=&comments_parentId=1&forumId=1&comments_threshold=0&comments_offset=0&comments_sort_mode=commentDate_desc&comments_maxComments=10

There are 12 pages of statements about how NAFTA has adversely affected people! Some of them are absolutely heartrending to read. Read a few, think about it, and then come back and tell me your cheap VCR is worth all that.

3. Well, we have NAFTA and some products from Canada aren't allowed in
So much for free trade.

Fuck this hypocrisy. x(

Especially FTAA.

And the way the job market has been heading, people would need 3 jobs and STILL wave tin cups on street corners.

Fortunately, by then I will be dead. I will not live poor and knowing how to commit suicide painlessly also helps.

6. Which is exactly why we need Kucinich.
Obviously Maple doesn't like him, but that's not a major issue in the election.

BTW, the anti-FTAA events are a great time to tell people about Kucinich.

5. You again, eh?
Funny thing, most Americans weren't waving tin cups in the streets BEFORE NAFTA, so please spare me your doom-speak. It's boring and you've never bothered to back it up.
