Good news for Kucinich supporters |
|
Okay...I lean Dean but am open to all because I want to beat Bush in 2004.
Tonight I went to a Dem fundraiser and I mean a lot of Dean supporters but those people who are still making up their minds are leaning towards Kucinich because they see him as a true left Dem.
I don't know if it means much but I wanted to say that the thoughtful active Dems do know who the candidates are and they are evaluating all the candidates and even though Kucinich is getting labeled an unknown...the Dems in the know do know who he is.
Clark had some supporters but the crowd was mostly union and they were with Dean or Gephardt to some degree.
Sorry I don't have a lot of good news for Kerry supporters right now...which is kind of weird given that I live in Heinz Ketchup territory..but...I don't have bad news...so take that as you will.
Everyone I met wants to get rid of W. So that is a great sign overall!
So I don't want this to be a flamefest...I am just trying to pass along some good news...so if this thread goes bad I hope it gets locked.

I really and I hope I dont get mocked for this but I really think Kucinich is more higher than people think, just a hunch.

7. no, a unity thread is always good |
|
I do my share of sniping - I can take on both Bush and the Dems I feel are not right for the job - but if anyone sees good in all the candidates, why not say so? You aren't trying to police anyone's thoughts, and that is appreciated!

take a chance on "unelectability" and give DK a try. If everyone who liked him would actually vote for him, he'd run away with this.

11. Thanks for sharing that, it's encouraging! |

But I hope we all can agree it's ABB after the nomination is selected.
I know no matter WHAT my feelings are for whomever the nominee is, they'll get 100% of my support. And that's the honest truth, even though on a bad day I might petulantly say otherwise. :)
When the chips are down, I know what's best for America. And it's NOT BUSH.

12. Thanks, and it validates a lot of what I've seen/been saying too |
|
There ARE a lot of DK supporters and they tend to be more active in the party (or other movements) than the general public, which to me means that DK will do quite well in caucus states which involve more time than just filling out a ballot.
Keep in mind too that there's still ± 90% of the people in this country who can't name one of the nine candidates we have. There's still plenty of room for changes to happen and for the direction of this race to change.
Thanks again for the good news!
