5. Done thanks
The energy bill will be tough because there is so much pork in the bill. Daschal will get his ethanol provisions and he's facing a tough re-election. Hopefully the overall good will prevail.

6. Please repost the DC Senate 800 number
I'm at a different computer, and don't have that number available.

I've gone back through the posts, but it would take me hours to go back through all those pages to try to find that number. I need it for someone who hasn't yet called to encourage the fillibuster.

THANKS!

Kanary

8. 1-877-762-8762
You can reach anyone in the House or Senate with that number.

Also, talk specifically with Chuck Schumer's office. He is rumored to be already leaning towards filibustering the bill.

Also, ESPECIALLY for those with Republican reps -- CALL them on the spending problems!

Lots of House Republicans are having trouble voting for these bills... be sure to mention the lack of negotiating for lower prices with respect to the Medicare bill -- Veterans group gets 25 - 50% discounts!!!! Why should this be different? Hit them with conservative ideology -- they're spending irresponsibly!

On Energy bill -- hit Senators on PORK (esp. DASCHLE)! Legislators on BOTH sides have been bribed into voting for this monstrosity because they're granted favors. Remind them MTBE is unsafe! Remind them this bill weakens Clean Air laws, which will lead to 100's of thousands more cases of asthma!

We can make a difference -- tell your friends & family as well.

Thanks !
:D

9. Should also give Daschle a bad day
The Wall Street Journal today states If Republicans finally pass their extravagant energy bill this weekend, we hope they take a moment to thank the one man who above all others will have made it possible: Senate Minority Leader Tom Daschle.

Let him know what you think at his senate site

http://daschle.senate.gov/webform.html

or call his office at the senate toll free number.
