NewsFlash, Republicans to add 40 million to Medicare drug benefit

This just flashed across the bottom of the screen on the Today show. NBC. I fully realize that both parties want desparately to gain political capital on this issue but I also fully understand that it is the Democrats that are fighting desparately for funding for the prescription drug program and the Republicans would gladly eliminate Medicare and Social Security altogether. They've been trying to do that ever since the programs were created. Why didn't NBC report that? It's disgusting.

1. 40 million or 40 billion?

Because if its million...Whoopdeedoo.

When I was in 7th grade, they built Lake Worth Middle School in Palm Beach County, Florida. For 7 million. This was 12 years ago. I was astounded. Since then, no federal budget amount in the millions regarding education or health care has impressed me. Amounts in the billions are the proper amounts, nothing less. 40 million is piddly.

The point I'm trying to make is that the pukes are not adding anything to the funding. They are resisting all attempts by the Democrats to fund the program at all. 40 million isn't much for sure on a program like a prescription drug benefit for US seniors but it is a start and it isn't the pukes that are adding anything except opposition to the very idea. But NBC reports it as if the pukes are trying to fund the program despite Democratic opposition. Truly disgusting.
