Army Reserve families are getting propoganda CDs in mail
We recieved ours today...our stepson is in the Reserves, and we got the CD from the army today...What a load of shit..It has a general on it speaking to the families and showing video of the Saddam statue falling, and the need for the war on Terra...I had to leave before I vomitted watching it. I wish I had a link to the CD but I dont...They use the word "american warriors" to assauge the parents of the reservists...
This is sickening propoganda, and I wish I could send THEM a CD of my bare ass telling them to KISS IT.

1. Best wishes and godspeed to your stepson.
The military shouldn't be wasting money on projects like this. All it takes is one letter from the war zone to let you know it's all BS.

In April of this year, the world cheered when statues of Saddam Hussein came tumbling down, symbolizing the end to a dictator's reign of terror. Similarly, the world cheered as the Taliban fell and Al-Qaeda fled Afghanistan. These victories occurred because of the sacrifices of the brave men and women of the United States Army, the Army Reserve and the Army National Guard. I'm extremely proud to serve with all the men and women who are our warriors and Soldiers.

5. In all fairness,
... the commander of the Reserves balanced his remarks--or took the edge off the propaganda somewhat by being critical of the Administration (I capitalize that word lightly.). If you listen closely, you'll hear him being apologetic to Reservist's families and critical of their deployments. Basically, he asserted this is not what they signed up for, and the job should be being done by regular Army. Listening to the whole presentation, it's clear he's walking a fine line.
