WOW Dean already raising $$$ to slap Bush Co hit ad on dems.
Edited on Fri Nov-21-03 05:47 PM by TLM

And since 5pm ET they've already raised about a 3rd of the goal!

The bat is out, and Dean's gonna beat W senseless with it...

4. LOL...and I think about half of that was just in the last hour.
Have you checked the blog out. So much for the tripe about Dean supporters being a bunch of blind followers. Lot's of critical discussion about the ad. Most feel that it's too weak and that it doesn't do enough to distinguish the war on terrorism and the war in Iraq.

Would that stop a Dean supporter from contributing though? Hell no! They're all over the blog with comments like "Well I just sent in $50 so here's my $50 worth" and they go on to make suggestions for the ad copy. :D

10. ANd here's the thing I love about Dean's campaign...

"They're all over the blog with comments like "Well I just sent in $50 so here's my $50 worth" and they go on to make suggestions for the ad copy."

Those suggestions will be considered and likely end up shaping the ad.

5. No matter what you think of Dean
You've got to hand it to his campaign for coming up with interesting money raising ideas time after time.

That said, I think they might have "borrowed" this idea from MoveOn.org. They too are looking to raise money to hit back at Bush. My suggestion, give a few bucks to your candidate and then give a few to MoveOn.org. (Someone is matching the moveon money $1 for every $2)

I gave to both Dean and Move-on today. Soros and some other person is adding money for each contribution to Move-on.

13. The only thing I fear about Dean's "internet campaign revolution" is...
That the GOP/Rethugs now see it as a threat to their power, and try to expand spirit-of-Patriot-act type legislation to curb as much freedom on the net in America as possible.

Of course, because the internet is de-centralised, it might just be what dooms the GOP to archaic extinction in the future.

15. Too late for them
It's too late for them to stop Dean's revolutionary use of the internet in his campaign, but his method is certainly something they'll be trying to curb in the future - unless they can get the advantage through it. They won't tolerate fair playing, let alone someone like Dean getting a popular advantage. Look for new rules/internet-legislation or somesuch in the near future.

Try Chat for America. I personally find the noise-to-signal ratio high there, but it's fun.

16. I gave to Dean and Moveon.org
I've decided that I am willing to go into debt on my credit card and pay the bill off over time if it will get the message out to the people and bush out of office.

Our biggest obstacle is the media. we cannot get fair coverage of our issues. we have to fight with at a constant disadvantage. these ads may be our best chance to get our message out.

Give'em hell Howard!

21. Wonderful If Y'All Can Contribute Via Pilots for Dean
Visit Pilots for Dean and click on Contribute (upper right) to send money to Dean.

No, I don't get a commission. But the pilots supporting Dean do get a thermometer that keeps going up. (We're up to $143.50 as I write this.)

Thanks!
