Bush is very good at starting wars. But does he ever win one?
Edited on Sun Nov-23-03 10:05 AM by NNN0LHI
That is the question we need to be asking everyone we talk to about the mess we are in. I have said this to quite a few people lately and they act like they had never really thought about that much. They do now. Plant the seeds of dout about this chimpanzee squatting in our White House. Then watch it grow. Now is the time.

1. What "conservative" has ever won a war?
After all, to win a war, you have to be willing to commit everything to win.

You can't overlook a US company doing business with the enemy, and you can't ask everyone, incuding the wealthy to sacrifice for the greater good.

As a republican president, you have to make sure you keep your eye on the bottom line.

Your political contributors.

2. Bu$h was very good at starting oil companies. But did he ever
find oil? No -- the word in the oil industry, according to a friend who's a petroelum geoligist, is "That boy couldn't strike oil in a refinery".

Bu$h never succeeded at anything in his life. Everything was handed to him -- including the presidency -- and he's fouled up everything they handed him.

Bu$h is a foul up. Always has been, always will be.

3. He never finishes anything...
he walked away from his obligations in the National Guard; he ran business into the ground, then walked away, pockets stuffed, and let Daddy's buddies clean up the mess; even his much praised sobriety has for all intents and purposes failed, since he refuses to confront his addictions honestly.

He vowed to capture Osama, who is now, according to neocons, "out of the picture". I think we Democrats should have an ad, with what he said then, vs. what he says now, to make people wonder why anybody should believe him about anything. He'll tire of the rush he gets by the lead up to invasion, dump Iraq to let it sink into worse chaos, and try again with Iran,Syria, Turkey, whereever he thinks it'll be an easy victory.

9. Don't forget when asked about putting Texas into an enormous
budget hole with his ill considered tax cuts before the 2000 election, Bush said "hopefully I won't have to worry about that".

12. I haven't forgotten...
I live in Texas, and thought he was a terrible governor. I voted for Gore, along with the majority of Americans. Hard as it was to do, he made Texas even a worse place than it already was.

4. W is a one trick pony
His solution to every problem is war, war and more war. All he knows how to do is break things. He's like a spoiled little brat who needs a good spanking.

5. He's just carrying out an early campaign promise...
"America should not be in the business of nation building"

we forgot to ask him his position on nation destroying.

7. Well, if you win it, you can't sell armaments. War is good for bidness
Look how they've been scrambling to find a new phony enemy since Russia folded.

8. Afghanistan is a perfect example
of Chimpy's attention deficit disorder. The Taliban is regrouping and coming back. There are still many warlords that do not accede their authority to provisional government. Basically that country is a mess. No victory there for Bush that's for sure.

10. No Republican has "won" a war since Lincoln
For Democrats, war is about national self defense, preservation of democracy, stopping genocide. "Right" is on our side.

For Repugs, war is about profiteering, blowing off a little testosterone, and bashing their political enemies. Nothing "right" about any of it.
