Bushed Queen's bushes make the news in Europe...

But I just spoke with a friend in Germany and it was the first thing he asked me about. Apparently, this "outrage" because of it being so blatantly stupid, is making the rounds in Europe. This is not instead of all the opposition to Bush and his policy, but in addition to it. It demonstrates his total lack of consideration for anybody else, including his host.

Mild bewilderment and the story is in the "oddly enough" section of most papers. The attacks in Turkey and other issues kept it from getting a real story; it's more like relief that finaly a politician surfaced who is worse at protocol than Kohl - that he even managed to surpass Kohl at "not amusing" the British is a bonus.
