1. Hatch is responsible for the deaths of more than 80 people
Senator, His Son Get Boosts From Makers of Ephedra
Orrin Hatch has kept regulators at bay and benefited via campaign donations. Lobbyists linked to his son have received $2 million.

For more than a decade, the dietary supplements industry has counted on Sen. Orrin G. Hatch to fend off tighter regulation of products such as ephedra, the controversial stimulant linked to more than 80 deaths - most recently a young Baltimore Orioles baseball player.

2. Exactly...............
I haven't read about a plethora of Canadians dying either, of course our "liberal media" is probably covering this fact up. Hatch is a freakin' tool.

3. As a Canadian I find it incredible that Americans would believe we are
ingesting unsafe drugs in Canada...Common sense should make it evident how just plain SILLY that is!....

5. Funny quote from R Gov Pawlenty in MN
When he went up north to look into settting up a state drug importation plan.

: "I dont' see the streets littered with Canadians dying from Canadian drugs".

6. do people really believe it?
I mean, it's such a ludicrous suggestion. And most often employed by the very people who a: say they want the Gubment out of people's business, and b: allow our drug companies to advertise Rx meds alongside beer, cars, and kleenex.
Well, maybe I just answered my own question. No wonder people are confused.
If anyone has any useful links to this issue (i think the profit-mongering HMO/ Rx system is what spells dooms for our economy and our culture,) let me know. I've been compiling some info. It's a monster of a problem.
Plus, I count myself among the 42 million+ uninsured. Self-employed and with a history of hospitalization, I am basically uninsurable. So it's a personal interest of mine. There's a good contingent of people in this boat, and I mostly want to see a candidate who can get the ball rolling and institute a plan for everyone. The fear-mongering going on already is such a bad sign.
