DNC Debate on MSNBC -- 4pm et -- thread #1
Pregame is already going on MSNBC with a "special" Hardball. Noonan, Feinstein, Jackson, and some other person...I think.

1. We are not watching any more debates.
They are disturbing to watch. Our candidates are not given anytime to present their issues without being hammered by each other and the hosts.

I think Brokaw is lying in wait for them, and they are salivating over who will get bashed the most.

Politics as usual, right. I just don't have to watch it.

5. long article in US News about Brokaw's plans
seems he intends to get in the candidates' faces, and ignore Braun and Kucinich as much as possible.

I find Brokaw to be a silly, overrated guy.

17. Debate Winner will Be
Going to make a prediction here. Dean and Gephardt will bicker back and forth like two bad-tempered Prom Queens at a Homecoming Dance, thus making the winner of the debate somebody who's participating via satelite. Maybe Edwards. He's usually above the fray!

"This time wearing an EISENHOWER jacket!" Oh, Kathleeeeeen (MATTHEWS), your husband has something to tell you!

Other sins Tweety committed in less than half an hour: Played the Shrub Iowa commercial that smears Dems. Cackled when GILLEPSIE named KUCINICH in an answer-----sneering, "Name one CONTENDER (not a nobody)!"

Just being Tweety is a crime. Luckily, nobody watches him and his wingnut "friends" don't TRUST him. "For the FIFTY people who watch this show..." (-------Darrell HAMMOND).

and refuses to attack Gephardt, instead he took on the issues of difference.

Tom asks Gephardt about this. Tom makes a joke about some name that Gep called Dean. So far Gephardt/Dean are sticking to the issues/stats without being nasty like Tom is pushing them to do.

I believe in treating people with the same level of equality, dignity and respect, and we should guarantee this. This should not become a wedge issue.

I have during the course of my campaign have talked about the rights of all Americans on all fronts.

Bigger issue: bring Americans together.

... the only thing missing from the cast of loons was "Special Ed" from Comedy Central's "Crank Yankers". Chris Matthews has to be the worst, most shallow, most overrated DC pundit in the history of television.

It's also refreshing to not see or hear the droning of Joe "Insurance City Butt-boy" Lieberman. Finally -- a Republican-free Democratic debate (Tom Brokaw notwithstanding)!
