CCN: Clark's Chaplain
From the CCN (http://www.forclark.com/):

Friends who support Wesley Clark,

When people ask you whether Wes Clark is sincere and genuine in what he says and does, share these remarks with them. In 1993-94, I was the chapel manager at the Cavalry Memorial Chapel on Fort Hood. General and Mrs. Clark attended regularly, whenever either one or both were on post. It was not a show; they felt the need to worship and pray. I visited them after worship and respected them greatly.
When our commanding general Wes Clark addressed all of us chaplains in the division for training one afternoon, he spoke of his grief for every soldier who died under his command from his lieutenancy through his rise to general officer. As he talked of the soldiers who had died in training in 1st CAV while he commanded the division, he broke down, tears, genuine tears of grief, ran down his cheeks. He excused himself and left the chapel to mourn them privately on his drive back to his headquarters a few blocks away.

When his son, home from West Point for the Christmas holidays, went horseback riding and slipped from the saddle with one foot hung-up in the stirrups, the horse dragged him and banged his head on a curb on post. When I bumped into General Clark soon afterward that afternoon, I inquired. The general stopped to tell me that his son had sustained a concussion, but that he still intended to attend the Christmas Ball with his date that night. He added, "My son's okay, but I dread facing Gert with the news when I get home at the end of the day!" He's a great dad and husband; and Gert will make a great First Lady. She's as straight forward as any Brooklynite can be, and I love her.

7. Somehow that doesn't surprise me
You just won't let go of that will you? Aside from the fact that he DIDN'T kill that many people, not by a long shot.

13. I'm Sure He Did
But by murdering among some of them what would have been the murderers of thousands more of Moslem Kosovars, I'm sure it helped to ease his grief. War is Hell, but highly necessary when the enemy is an offense to humanity.

14. Would you
Would you have shed tears if the million he saved would have died at the hands of the Serbs. Apparently not.

8. Wow
He sounds like what they had in mind during the Middle Ages when someone defined what chivalry is. Wow. It will be great to have someone like that in office.

11. I think this is the special something that people resonate with
Others have wondered what it is about Clark that appeals to the average person. Even supporters of other candidates have remarked on it and said they noticed this quality when they see Clark's appearances.

12. Chivalrous... That Is A Nice Adjective
And using it in the context of the Middle Ages seems quite appropriate. We seem to be backsliding into Neo-Feudalism.

Clark was knighted after all.
