the 1st drug czar once said that the war on drugs would be won. he said this almost 20 years ago, since then, we have spent hundreds of bilions of dollars in the drug war. and still have as many drugs or more being used in the country.

i would hate to see what they consider failure

rather than discuss the issue rationally all bennett does about de-criminalization is ask a self-serving rhetorical question about "society already having enough problems and drugs would be be one more."

tha't hardly a rational and informed response from one of the original leaders in the war on drugs.

the way the war on drugs is being fought is akin to the way the war on terrorism is being fought; endless, futile, costly, and with the major impact being a restriction on our civil rights.
