Yeah, I was one of the rest of the country blindsighted, but not in total shock when the 2-1/2 hour "jaunt", enacted by KKKarl and company to get the attention of the flag waving, turkey eating, gun toting, homophobic American public was sprung on us while we were trying to bond with our respective families and consume massive amounts of tryptophan and sugar. Were we really complacent enough to think this regime was in roll over mode? Their whole modus operandi is SECRECY, why should we be "shocked and awed" by this stunt? I caught C-Span this morning and there were plenty of seemingly good dems extolling the virtues of the bush administration for the "brave" and exciting move he took to visit the troops in Baghdad. At first, I thought, we're screwed, and then it hit me, I don't have a bone to pick with the candidates running in this election cycle, my problem is with the American public at large, your relatives, your neighbors, the people you work with everyday, the people you call your friends that selected this maniacal dictator. It's not bush*, KKKarl or the mass media, it's those amongst us that we deal with on an everyday level that choose to remain ignorant of the facts and the consequences this administration has faced us otherwise ordinary citizens on du to deal with. In other words, our problem should not be with one another over which candidate we should be supporting, but how can we bring this cabal down and then somehow brought to justice. Let's put aside any differences we have over the candidates and all work together to expose this despotic regime for the corrupt and evil plague that has been let loose on our beloved country.
I write this to implore you to come up with some valid ideas as to how we can best inform this country of the real tyranny we are living under everyday. It's not a "my candidate is better than yours thread", it goes much deeper than that and to the very heart of the core of this country we all love. The question is, how can we enlighten and educate the masses without depending on the mass media?
