Poll question: Rush and Jail...How much time should he get?!?
Hey Gang, In honor of RUSH advertising DU on his "delightful" show I'd like to do a poll.

How many years in the Clink should RUSH get for...
Money Laundering
Taking Drugs
Conspiracy

10. As much as I would like to see him
entertaining some large African-American cellmates with Jesse Jackson jokes, I think he would suffer more having to work at a homeless shelter (preferably as the toilet cleaner). But, my fondest dreams are just seeing him doing the perpwalk dressed in brilliant orange with handcuffs and a light thread to tie half of his addled (drugged or not) brain behind his back.

11. He will get no time, unless he is more use to Rove in jail
As an example of Bush's "tough on crime." Then, he will be discarded by the neo-cons. Otherwise, he'll see jail when Kenneth Lay does, aka never.

13. None of the above
Let me know when Ken Lay and Bernie Ebbers are up for sentencing. When (if ever) either or both of these crooks go to jail then I'll know that our "justice" system is honest. Until then, lets leave victims (OK, rush is not a real victim) of the "drug war" out of jail.

14. Whatever keeps his hypocritical hateful cyst addled ass off the radio
Unlike Mush, I don't believe drug addiction should be treated as a criminal offense. But since that was his own standard, then perhaps he should be made to face up to it.

16. People like Limbaugh should go to jail, says Limbaugh
--Limbaugh on Drugs
People like Limbaugh should go to jail, says Limbaugh

http://www.fair.org/extra/0311/limbaugh-drugs.html

"There's nothing good about drug use. We know it. It destroys individuals.
It destroys families. Drug use destroys societies. Drug use, some might say, is destroying this country. And we have laws against selling drugs, pushing drugs, using drugs, importing drugs. And the laws are good because we know what happens to people in societies and neighborhoods, which become consumed by them. And so if people are violating the law by doing drugs, they ought to be accused and they ought to be convicted and they ought to be sent up.

What this says to me is that too many whites are getting away with drug use. Too many whites are getting away with drug sales. Too many whites are getting away with trafficking in this stuff. The answer to this disparity is not to start letting people out of jail because we're not putting others in jail who are breaking the law. The answer is to go out and find the ones who are getting away with it, convict them and send them up the river, too.

...We are becoming too tolerant as a society, folks, especially of crime, in too many parts of the country....
This country certainly appears to be tolerant, forgive and forget. I mean, you know as well as I do, you go out and commit the worst murder in the world and you just say you're sorry, people go, "Oh, OK. A little contrition."... People say, "I feel better. He said he's sorry for it." We're becoming too tolerant, folks."
--Rush Limbaugh TV show (10/5/95)
