Krauthammer calls Dean "delusional" no profanity, no caps, no screaming
Okay, I don't know why this post got locked, doesn't make any freaking sense to me, so I'm taking the liberty of reposting it (even tho I didn't post it the first time) and maybe arbitrarily NOT breaking any rules:

My opinion of this is that Krauthammer obviously is about as smart as a largemouth bass that has swallowed a plastic worm thinking it's food. He got reeled into the boat hours ago and is now swimming around in the live tank thinking it's his new home, having no idea he's about to be eaten for dinner. Furthermore, he thinks the other bass still swimming around free in the lake are dumber than he is.

In other words, he's stupid and deserves whatever flaming grill awaits him.

Unfortunately the rest of us don't deserve to be cooked and eaten, we're trying to avoid that fate.

What's driving me NUTS about this administration is that they lie to us every day, and if you as much as say "they're lying" you're called CRAZY.

The Delusional Dean

By Charles Krauthammer

Friday, December 5, 2003; Page A31

Diane Rehm: "Why do you think he (Bush) is suppressing that (Sept. 11) report?"

Howard Dean: "I don't know. There are many theories about it. The most interesting theory that I've heard so far -- which is nothing more than a theory, it can't be proved -- is that he was warned ahead of time by the Saudis. Now who knows what the real situation is?"
-- "The Diane Rehm Show," NPR, Dec. 1
It has been 25 years since I discovered a psychiatric syndrome (for the record: "Secondary Mania," Archives of General Psychiatry, November 1978), and in the interim I haven't been looking for new ones. But it's time to don the white coat again. A plague is abroad in the land.

Bush Derangement Syndrome: the acute onset of paranoia in otherwise normal people in reaction to the policies, the presidency -- nay -- the very existence of George W. Bush. Now, I cannot testify to Howard Dean's sanity before this campaign, but five terms as governor by a man with no visible tics and no history of involuntary confinement is pretty good evidence of a normal mental status. When he avers, however, that "the most interesting" theory as to why the president is "suppressing" the Sept. 11 report is that Bush knew about Sept. 11 in advance, it's time to check on thorazine supplies. When Rep. Cynthia McKinney (D-Ga.) first broached this idea before the 2002 primary election, it was considered so nutty it helped make her former representative McKinney. Today the Democratic presidential front-runner professes agnosticism as to whether the president of the United States was tipped off about 9/11 by the Saudis, and it goes unnoticed. The virus is spreading.

with no honor or shame who will say anything to please his right wing sponsors. Let him write what he will. Hardly anyone's interested in what he has to say (he's a yawner) and his career's going nowhere.

Dear Mr. Krauthaummer,
Who is paying your bills?

I hope it is worth it, with every article like this, you sell away another little piece of our democracy. Guess what? Absolutely none of what you say matters. The people that like Howard Dean like him BECAUSE he has the balls to say stuff like this. When you try to take him down, you are trying to take down the millions of Americans that still believe in what this country stands for and it won't work. I hope that the repubs are shaking' in their shoes, cause Dean WILL be our new President. People know about Diebold, they can rent Unprecedented, it is the beginning of the end for this EVIL administration, and the lapdogs, like you, just look stupid. BTW have you had your head checked lately? Because if you think that Bush cares about anyone but himself and the few people that keep him in power, you are the one that is f*cking delusional! It will be hard to get interviews with Dean printing trash like this, I hope I never see your name in print again!

Sincerely,
Melody Watson

I meant every word too, fuck him!

9. Thanks, I highly suggest writing these bastards
At first you feel kind of weird yelling at someone that way, but then you think of what they are trying to do to us and then it all comes out. It feels soooo good, it's like you can feel the anger of every one of us that is reading the article. That guy doesn't even realize that amount of hate mail he is about to get. It is WONDERFUL! I quote MLK, "Our lives begin to end, then moment we are silent about the things that matter." So now, no matter what it is, if it gets a response out of me then I write them and tell them either thanks or fuck off. How else are they gonna know?

Thanks again for the compliment,
Melodybe

I wrote a letter, and I included Krauthammer's doctored quote with the original quote. I asked what is the Post's policy on printing lies.

I wonder if I will get a response?

11. O.K. Krauty, why is Bush stonewalling the 9-11 commission then?
Just asking. I am getting a little tired of all of these pious wingnuts jumping on anybody who dares to suggest that Bush may be hiding something all the while ignoring the shit-covered elephant standing in the oval office.

36. we should be looking at the jet's flight records
from the airforce intoceptors; according to inside sources, they were requested to "fly at half-speed," so as to to really catch up with the American Airline jets.
Yeah. A reliable source. It seems that the reason there isn't much effort to launch an investigation is because there is little to investigate, other than we got caught with our...collective pants down. I don't want to be too mean to my hero Bill, but I do wish he had been more concerned with national security prior to these attacks and less interested in spending...what shall I say? long hours at his desk? We have to admit that these attacks were not planned overnight; the agents were set in place during the Clinton watch. If we are interested in getting back the presidency, we should be cautious about pointing the finger at G.W.B. Our guy is the one who didn't prepare for the future, and as much as I hate to say it, Bill couldn't even get a BJ in the oval office, and you think that silly G.W.B. can run a huge conspiracy from there? If that is true, our party is doomed.
Remeber, truth is usually the simple scenario. WEe were the taget of terorists! It happens in the real word every day.

12. Dean's crazy alright...like a fox.
Dean knows by now, in general terms, what's in the 28 pages Bush censored from the 9/11 report. (Gwen Graham Logan, Bob Graham's daughter, recently signed on to his campaign, by the way). Sourkrauthhammer, as always, is merely parroting the daily RNC blast-fax talking points; but in this case, he's falling into Dean's trap.

Bush cannot afford to release the 28 pages. They will show, at a minimum, 1)complicity of the Bush administration in a post 9/11 coverup of Saudi 9/11 involvement, or 2)Saudi warnings prior to 9/11 attacks which should have reasonably triggered enhanced security measures at airports. Quite possibly, both.

If just 10% of the ink that's being wasted on Dean's gubernatorial records is now re-directed at Bush for sealing the 9/11 report, Bush will start to suffer the political consequences. By keeping this issue alive, he will expose Bush bumbling and saw off Bush's campaign plank that the GOP are the 'grownups' on National Security issues.

14. Democrats Should Team Up
with an ad that denounces the name calling by republicans.

Now that republicans have exhausted the - if you criticize you are unpatriotic - they are on to - if you criticize you are mentally unbalanced in some way.

This has got to stop - Dean and Clark have both been subjected to this - they are trying to show that these fine men are emotional, and unbalanced - and not fit to serve.

Granted, it's not a very flattering picture. But what a joke. Look at the thousands of Chimpy pictures...especially the evil one with his utterly deranged look in front of a flag that Media Whores uses a lot. Why isn't that on the cover of magazines?

There are enough great photos of Dean to counteract one bad one.

and......I talked to Jim Warren, of the Chicago Trib, last week on his radio show. that photo came up (in a brief conversation about Mike Allen's fawning embed/TG story).

he, personally, took heat for it. Said the Trib never got more negative mail for any other photo.....Trib was one of only TWO papers in the entire US who ran it!

I Love that photo dearly.

point is, there are SO many like that one....the TG Turkey peck one, and this one, I found while looking for the above:

they have their own "issues." I don't know about Krauthammer- frankly I don't pay much attention to the man, because he doesn't strike me as being very intelligent (Harvard education and MD notwithstanding). He strikes me instead as disingenuous, shallow and arrogant. My guess is that he's an intellectual bully- the kind who likes to try to feel superior by showing off his "education" while subtly putting people down.

That kind of person almost always shuts his trap or moves on when someone who actually knows something and has some wit steps into the circle. Someone like say, Dr. Dean....
