Kind of like: "After you shoot a man and his family, should you make sure their dog has enough food and water in it's dish before you leave their house?"

Otherwise, I guess I'd vote 'Yes'.

we have to be responsible and make a effort to rebuild the country, or we as a nation would look far worse than we do now.

7. If someone kicked in your front door and trashed your house...

...would you want the perp to stay and fix it up as he was stealing other stuff from your house while he held you at gunpoint? Or would you prefer to have him get the fuck out of your house, pay for the damages, and allow you to hire the work done by whoever you wanted to do the job?

5. Yeah...but the US is never leaving

The US will never leave because the situation in Iraq will never stablize to the level that motivated the largely illegal invasion.

Iraq is not Guatemala or even Iran in the 1950s and trying to establish a 'pliant' client regime (Hussein without Hussein) will not happen...

A soon as there is a return of Iraqis autonomy, all those phoney and illegal agreements the puppets signed will be tossed and the Iraqis will generally want even greater autonomy over their oil resources to pay for re-construction and debt. The US/Brit won't allow that...they're only solution is long-term occupation.

Iraqis are not ignorant religious fanatics, but very secular, nationalistic and educated...

The only thing available to the US is essentially continued terror and bloodshed.
