Some thoughts/questions on Rush Limbaugh |
|
Edited on Fri Dec-05-03 12:22 PM by underpants
Let me begin by saying that I don't listen to his ramblings (that of late seem to have turned quite paranoid) for the same reason I don't drink bleach, it's bad for you.
I looked for a bio on his website and found none. Is there something about his past he wants to keep secret? Why did he use a different name (Jeff Christie) than the one that his surely Christian godfearing parents gave him? Does Rush hate Jesus? What was the deal with the guy who took Jeff under his wing and taught him how to dress and probably powdered his butt before putting him beddie-by for the night.
Rush has one and only one message: hate. Anything Clinton must be evil and needs to be erased or a 180 degree turn needs to be taken from the policy decisions made by a twice elected President. Rush is obviously a simple little mouth piece for the conservative machine as even those yahoos wouldn't actually let someone as totally unqualified and uneducated as Mr.Christie help design policy. Of course the policy of corporatism and anti-Clinton was already decided on so there really is no policy making needed.
Rush and his string pullers need to look themselves in the mirror and acknowledge that there empty vials of hate have polluted this nation and made this world and our place in it much worse. Instead we had the horrible mismanagement and neglect that facilitated 9/11 happening and took us into an unneeded war. Oddly of the major players in the conservative (particularly the neo-cons) side only Rummy actually ever served, save for George W. Bush but then he went AWOL what twice so maybe we shouldn't mention that.
For all the talk of personal responsibility we see none from our fellow countrymen on the extreme right.
Just a few odd ramblings on an odd and unimportant person.

4. Which only goes to show the depth of his reporting |
|
style consists of only reading press releases at best or he knows and reports lies at worst. Either way it’s wise not to listen to him for information.

9. Wonder what his contract says about a "termination" - |
|
let's see, A-Rod size contract, and with his "backing" by the RW, he surely has some sort of clause which says that if they terminate him, he gets a huge amount of his obligated pay.
Now, does that sound like welfare or what?
He'll never be fired. His controversies fuel the ratings. When the ratings slip, he falls into the "liberals trying to shut down the 'truth'!" line.

5. I think Rush is an actor |
|
I don't think he cares about politics. I think he cares about himself. If in 1985 it looked like liberal talk was the way to cash in, then he'd have been a liberal. But he found something that worked, and he cashed in big time. Maybe the drugs were to keep him from realizing that he's not only made himself wealthy, but that he has impacted the real world negatively. Who knows. But one thing I don't believe is that that man has one stances that he wouldn't change in a second if he though it would benefit him personally.

6. The addiction was a clear indicator that he couldn’t stomach |
|
what he was doing. He had to be totally, world class, numb to cause the harm he did and tell the lies he did. He must not have been in rehab long enough to find out that being a malignancy is malignant to him.

Imagine , you so despise yourself that you medicate. Not just to take the edge off but to numb yourself. You seek respect by sticking your nose up the butt of those you are trying to be associated with. They play you for their ends and disgard you when they are done. You play a segment of society for suckers. Now everyone sees you for the sad traitor you have been trying to hide.
