can Davis register as a candidate in the potential recall election? |
|
if the recall initiative were to pass, say by a margin of 52%-48%, that would mean that, in effect, 48% of voters support Davis.
surely that would be a higher percentage than would vote for any of the other replacement candidates.
it doesn't seem right that Davis could garner more support than any other candidate yet still be removed from office.

He must win a majority while everybody else on the ballot only requires a plurality.
That's the law.

THEN the candidates won't matter. Of course, that's the $64,000 question.
