Will We All Unite behind our nominee next year? |
|
I am personally sick of listening to the media slam the Democrats and savor their/our tearing down each other.
I believe with all of my heart that we will come together to support WHO EVER THE DEMOCRATIC NOMINEE IS in a united strong way.
We cannot let the media tell us that we are through - we've only begun to fight the evil of George W. Bush and his administration!!!
We should not sit back and allow the media to make fun of our candidates - after all, the Republicans ran a lazy, incompetent, stupid, uninformed former alcoholic and drug abuser in 2000 and where was the outcry over that??
We are NOT fighting amongst outselves - we are trying to secure the nomination for the BEST candidate that we can field to beat Bush.
I'm not taking it anymore. I know we will unite. Flame away if you will, call me a cockeyed optimist, but I believe in the Democratic Party and I know we can beat Bush again in 2004.

3. I will vote for Daffy Duck if he is the Democratic Party's Nominee |
|
Because I know that Daffy would do a much better job than the dumbass, military deserting, corporate criminal, lying, alcoholic guy who did not hit a triple currently in the people's house. I am a Clark supporter however, I pledge my undying support and energy and fiscal resources to whomever gets our nomination.

He voted for the Iraq War Resolution!
He can't win against Bush!
He has no foreign policy experience!
He looks funny!
For the sake of the party, I can vote for anyone except Daffy.

4. We will rally behind whomever gets the nomination. |
|
I have no doubt of that. It is often hard to keep your "eyes on the prize" here because there are so many vocal nay-sayers in DU. I believe they are but a vocal minority, just as DU is a vocal minority among Democrats as a whole. We all want the same thing, an end to the illegal regime that is bastardizing the American Dream.

5. The AntiDeans are doing their best to see that doesn't happen |
|
With every bashing thread, every slimeball comment, every repetition of obvious lies that have been disproven over a multitude of threads, the AntiDeans are doing daily damage to the future necessity of party unity after the nomination.
They should be proud.

7. No we will not unfortunately |
|
If Dean does not get it there will be tons of Deanies sitting at home pouting during the election.
There are others that will vote Green because they staying true to their convictions and possibly giving us four years of the shrub.
Still others will just sit here and whine that their candidate would have won but they would not be caught dead voting for the scumbag <insert Dem candidate here>.
Yep, it is a recipe for a race far too close for my comfort.

And here I was thinking that the Dean people have consistently said they would support the eventual nominee. It is others who have made it clear that if Dean is the nominee that they couldn't support him.
How about that? I guess we all have our own internal narratives, don't we?

I'm a Deaniac and if he does not win the nomination I will support anyone who does win it. So I guess you could say in the end my candidate is Anyone But Bush.

This is primary fever and cnadidate competition. I think the days when some slander or despair advanced by the truncated media can depress our resolve are over. Unless enough people stupidly just give up and I don't see that.
When the grumbling and heartbreak subsides, the candidate represents not only himself but the others, the other supporting groups and the nation. The same could never be said about the GOP annointed. From his heart and with all his superior talent he will fight for us and we will reciprocate- to put it mildly.
Endure the pain- a terrible beauty is being born and it isn't the rough Bushco beast slouching to Jerusalem.

that if you vote for a third party or write in candidate, then you actually help Bush who really doesn't represent you.

16. When we regain control next November we'll shut big media down |
|
There will be no more slamming Democrats after we take all branches. The media breakup will leave smaller outlets controlled by the likes of Malloy and other more liberal broadcasters. Fox can keep their family shows (with more gay and diverse themes) but their news outlets will be shut down once and for all. We are less than a year away from taking back America and will make FDR look like a rightwinger.

It doesn't matter *who* the Democratic nominee is (and I know it won't be Lieberman) -- he will have full support!
It's do-or-die time -- :toast:
