Apparently, all the threads reporting this in Nazi-land are being pulled because it doesn't fit in with Fearless Leader's heroics.

These people are delusional!

Nobody wants to discuss it over there because it's just not kosher that Saddam was handed to US Forces ona platter.

1. NBC, ABC, CBS, etc also have "deleted" all mention of
the Kurds handover of Saddam, at least as far as I've seen.

Been watching for it and MSNBC had one little blurb, reported in a tone of "yeah, right" and dismissed it as coming from a U.K paper and rolled eyes.

if they were holding Saddam, why did he have $750k and a handgun in the hole? (question from that freeper link)--I'd like an answer too. Was this part of the capture a fabrication?

5. If you pull a stickup with an empty gun, it's not armed robbery.
So I ask - was the gun found on Hussein loaded? Or was this little detail a fabrication?

What of that briefcase - was that information planted by the Kurds to settle political scores?

9. I think he probably had an empty gun on him,

planted as an excuse to kill him.

The capture of SH didn't go according to plan. A soldier was suppossed to lob in a grenade and blow him to kingdom come. End of SH, end of story - except for the story written by Rove. The story would have been that SH came out of the hole pointing a gun and the US military had no choice but to return fire. "We wanted to take him alive, but we had no choice, blah, blah, blah."

The problem was that there were too many non-US witnesses there, so the story wouldn't have lasted...unless they massacred all the witnesses. Ergo, the soldier was stopped before he could lob the grenade. They're only playing up the money and gun aspects to disgrace him in the eyes of Arabs, ie: he had more money than you'll ever see but he wasn't courageous enough to go down swinging.

My 2¢.

6. and, SH was supposedly "drugged"
... on what, who knows? ... he looked out of it ... he might not have been in 'the real world' of his surroundings ... and, those things, money, briefcase, empty gun, might have been planted 'just before' the 'capture' ... Faux and its peers will spin it without question or investigation or caution ...

our fearless Congress cretins haven't said much at all RE the massive amounts of stack bills and gold which were found last Spring ... did anyone call for a controlled investigation of those bills, i.e. trace the serial numbers? when was the last time anyone asked where these things are?

the $750K could have been part of that money ... it's disgusting that we don't have anyone aggressively working on keeping the lying machine
'in check'

7. Did you ever think that....
Sadaam did not have a gun or money after all. This is what the Bush government is telling us. There is no proof that he actually had a gun and money on him. Right?

8. The question on the money is...
How much did he have before the Kurds found him?
