Bush/Blair fallout (hope this isn't a dupe)
Have you guys seen this story yet? Can this administration be any more petty? Apparently, Bush doesn't want his Thanksgiving visit to the troop in Iraq to be upstaged by a Christmas visit by Blair to British troops. Un-fucking-believable.

2. Link
Here's a link to the story:

BTW, I feel no sympathy for Tony Blair. He should have known what Bush was from the beginning. God knows, plenty of people tried to warn him.

7. I agree, Blair
deserves no sympathy at all, he should have damn well known better and his insistence on steadfastly supporting the Bushista's no matter what, and regardless of the opposition of his fellow citizens and many members of his own party, and regardless of the many warnings he received by people he should have trusted, was beyond infuriating. He's finally getting his comeuppance, too bad his country has to pay for his clueless stupidity along with him.

And I just simply cannot believe that the Bushistas are refusing to allow a Christmas visit by Blair to his own troops, what the fuck right does this petty little dictator have to determine something like that for another leader? And after Blair has pretty much destroyed his own career for the Boy King Impostor.

5. when do we invade the UK now?
Bush has shown himself to be very petty over his life... and, the UK has Weapons of Mass Destruction, so they may use them in the future...

8. hehehehe - spot on, as noted by one of our locals
The thing is, Bushy boy, we don't trust you. We've seen what happens when you fall out with your friends, and we don't want to be bombed when you come looking for our weapons of mass destruction - and we have lots of them. - Benjamin Zephaniah

12. You know, it's not as though...
...Bush could actually stop Blair from going to Iraq. If Blair doesn't go visit HIS OWN troops it will reinforce his image as Bush's poodle. Let's see what he does.

14. Blair was great on PM Question time this past Wednesday.
Especially when he was talking about financing education.

My attention was divided, but I think I heard a Lib Dem complaining that trying to give more people higher education devalued education.

Blair said that when he left university, only 7% of school leavers enrolled in universities. Today's it's 35%. (In the US it's the highest in the world - 50%). Blair said that this has only done good things for society, and there's still room for more improovement.
