Help requested: Iraq War Dead Names |
|
Edited on Thu Dec-25-03 03:08 AM by Kanary
I'm considering taking on the ongoing (sadly) task of posting a memorial to the US military war dead on a mixed (liberal and conservative) forum. I thought I had a website resource for names, etc of the dead by month, but can't seem to find it.
I would very much appreciate any help with locating an ongoing source of this information.
Also, if anyone would have a link to a graphic of the traditional rifle, helmet and boots I would very much appreciate that.
Thanks in advance!

And is a big part of the reason I am thinking about doing this project.
However, it does not allow copying for pasting into another source, and hand copying each name, on an ongoing basis, would be too tedious.
I wish this site was more well-known, and will post it regularly with my tally.
Thanks for mentioning it.

This looks like it is kept up-to-date.
It will be hard to copy, as it is in table form, but it might prove to be the best site. I have it bookmarked now.
Thanks again.

Not sure of a link but they usually have the link to the war dead with names whenever someone gets killed, although I think they've only covered the deaths since "major combat operations" ended.
Pretty fucking sad, because it's like every other day they update the list.

...thanks for taking on this project. People need to see the consequences of our war in Iraq, and we're almost at 500 dead.
What's worse is the numbers for injured troops aren't readily given out by the Pentagon, but apparently there are thousands in military hospitals right now, some paralyzed, many that have lost limbs, most who will have their lives changed forever by George W. Bush.
