3. That is truly scary. But does this reflect on Dean or his crew |
|
here? Inquiring minds want to know. Anyhow, I hope Will comes back after the nomination of whomever.

just like the death thread doesn't reflect on Clark supporters. I am glad someone was able to find that Pitt thread though.

6. Wow, what a mess. WillP is exercising his first amendment rights |
|
and the complaining DU-er is exercising hers. Then we have the boss who wants donations more than he wants his employees to express themselves, except--wait a minute--that's why people donate, to hear those same employees express their views.
If politics were nice and civilized, you'd have the Dali Lama running the world. Unfortunately they're not.
1. Will P should have expected some flak for the shots he keeps taking at the front runner.
2. The DU-er (if she really is one) should have responded to the posts and not narc-ed him out to his boss IMHO, although it's not illegal or particularly unethical in my book, just a little drastic. As a Dean backer, I don't want to win by "intimidating" people into supporting him, which is what this feels like.
3. The boss shouldn't try to make everyone happy--it's impossible--live with it. You lose one because of strong convictions and you gain two new one.
I hope Will sticks around and keeps posting because I always look forward to what he has to say.
This sniping and bickering over the primaries is frankly driving me nuts. We gotta hold it together for a few more months, folks. Then it will all be history.

7. It should be noted that Will was backed up by his boss |
|
as he admited later in that thread he was pretty sure he would be.

5. One thing that's interesting about Will Pitt's flame burning brightly and |
|
then buring out at DU is that his writings stoked a lot of the outrage about Iraq which then fed into the mood that lifted Dean to the top of the polls.
However, Pitt's candidate was Kerry.
It's very interesting how that worked out.

perhaps the sleeping dragon has awakened. Afterall, DU is just a BBS, a message board. In the real world out there, he could and should make his point well known. We were his sounding board for awhile there.
just wishing him the best here. dp

12. IMO he let the darker side of human nature end his relationship |
|
with DU, which is sad because I liked his posts. For him to expect everyone to punch above the belt is quite shocking to me. I would have figured he would know that there are people in the world who will hate you for merely existing.
Here's to Mr. Pitt :toast:

13. OK, now i'm REALLY confused. |
|
It's unacceptable for somebody to read WP's posts on DU, and then cancel their future donations to his employer because they disagree what WP, their employee, says.
It's OK for DUers to cancel their memberships with the AARP because they supported Bush's perscription drug bill.
It's wrong to refuse to buy Dixie Chicks albums because they say something their fans disagree with.
It's right to refuse to buy Toby Keith albums because he says things we disagree with.
Which is it? Is boycotting based upon politics acceptable or not?

Thanks, Mr. T.:bounce:
It has less to do with his "Boss" than setting priorities for a while, i.e. time allowances, travel, etc.
Never fail to note well from whence the "Rat" came, however.
Those of us who are true friends of WRP-know his snail mail address, his cell phone number, his real email address,THUS-what's The Big Deal:shrug:
I talked to him after the Pat's victory- 14-2 ! Woo-Hoo!
That's it and that's that!
