US Air Force Kuwait - need ideas for birthday gift to an officer

I would imagine the Air Force officers are fairly well supplied in Kuwait unlike the poor Army grunts in Iraq. The son of one of our employees has just been posted there, he's an officer who's flying between Kuwait and Baghdad, so I don't envy him his job.

Anyone here know what's good to send an officer as kind of a joint gift of little goodies, etc to an air force officer based in Kuwait?

Maxim is plentiful at the PX's in Kuwait and alcohol is strictly prohibited in Kuwait so that is a no go as well.

Does he like to read? If so, I'd say send him books about his favorite subjects. Maybe his favorite candy or if he likes a certain type of coffee. Things that one usually enjoys in the comfort of home are usually a good idea. Good luck.
