For my 1000th post, I say this: take heart, Bush is VERY beatable in '04!
We've had some very encouraging news that shows just how vunerable Bush is.

First, the recent poll showing Dean only five points behind Bush is wonderful news. This should put an end to the "Dean is an unelectable sitting duck" story. The campaign has barely begun, and Dean is already within striking distance of Bush!

Second, two developments in the Plame Affair: Ashcroft recuses himself from the investigation, triggered by some development in the case. Very likely to be the targeting of Rove by the investigators. And today, the FBI has asked certain Administration officials to waive any rights of confidential sourcing. This will enable the reporters to come forward. Those of you who thought Plame had been paved over by the Misadministration -- I told you the CIA wouldn't let this drop!

Bush is tottering. One good shove, and over he goes. And we have a couple of fire-eating candidates -- Dean and Clark -- who are ready, willing, and able to give him that shove. Victory is at hand.

1. I hope you're right
But I'm still nervous. As long as * has the media in his back pocket, it will be tough.

3. Once Bush starts to go down, the media will pile on.
That's how those people operate. They're the beta dogs who attack the weakest dog in the pack.

4. Agree.
These criminals will not give up easily. We have to be prepared for a very ugly fight and potentially massive vote fraud... and all that this means.

5. The main reason i like Dean and Clark is if their was massive voting fraud
Edited on Sat Jan-03-04 12:29 AM by Melodybe
they would fight it all the way. The American people are still pissed off about the theft in 2000, we KNOW how evil Bu$h is this time and we WILL NOT take 4 more years of the bastard. I am concerned about the media but CNN showing poll results like this make me feel a lot better. If anyone wants to help out on the voting fraud stuff tell everyone you know about the Democratic Hackers that said they would personally break into all of the voting systems and help the democrat, for all machines that do not offer a paper ballot. This certainly scared the freepers I told about it, god forbid a Dem play by the same rules as a republican.

THE DEMOCRAT WILL WIN!!!
Congrats on #1000

8. Careful, Brother.
It is repug (who control almost all the electronic voting companies) fraud that is the issue. Outside hacking is extremely difficult... don't let the script-kiddies tell you otherwise.

Electronic vote fraud will not be settled via the internet or modem......

Fighting all the way may entail a little more than you are ready for........................................

6. Drop the naivety.
When the repugs start in on Dean for real, he will fall like a stone. Stop whistling as you walk past the graveyard --- Dean is going down --- in the primaries --- or in the general election.

For the sake of the party and the nation, let us hope that it is the former.

9. Things are looking up...for us, at least
Yep, what a great start to the new year. Though, remember, we can't become overly-optimistic. There's still a lot of work to do, and a lot of people to convince.

Victory won't be at hand until the Democrat has over 280 votes.

14. I simply don't see
where chimpy's gonna get any more votes than before, barring another 9/11. Sure the repugs can fool enough people with the economy, pointing to the rising stock market as an indicator of better things around the corner. They can terror alert us to death to keep us scared, wanting chimpy to protect us. He'll get votes with the usual tactics and smear campaigns. But more votes than before? Or even as many? I just don't see it.

15. He Will STEAL A Lot More Votes This Time Thanks to Diebold
We have to beat him 70%-30% in real votes or we LOSE!

With the total BFEE control of the media AND the voting machinez
they could steal 20% and get the media to explain it away as a
surge of "angry white men", like they did in 2002.

16. This Is Our Challenge ...
Are we seeing things as they are? Are we seeing things as we want them to be?

I truly want a change. I _hope_ the people see how much they are being lied to and step up a vote the rascals out.

Am I giving the people too much credit? Have they given up? Do they care one way or the other? Will the people simply sulk in their beer?

Vote for change and fight for what we believe in. Am I crazy or what?

18. Who our nominee is, REALLY matters.
This person absolutely MUST have teflon, and a good coat of it!! Yeah, bush is beatable, but only by certain people (and I think Dean is one of them).
