The Georgia Guidestones
although this article is from a right-wing site )and therefore critical of the message), it's an interesting story of one "R.C. Christian" and his message for humanity via the "American Stonehenge" . . . fascinating read, imo . . .

THE MESSAGE OF THE GEORGIA GUIDESTONES

1. Maintain humanity under 500,000,000 in perpetual balance with nature.
2. Guide reproduction wisely - improving fitness and diversity.
3. Unite humanity with a living new language.
4. Rule passion - faith - tradition - and all things with tempered reason.
5. Protect people and nations with fair laws and just courts.
6. Let all nations rule internally resolving external disputes in a world court.
7. Avoid petty laws and useless officials.
8. Balance personal rights with social duties.
9. Prize truth - beauty - love - seeking harmony with the infinite.
10.Be not a cancer on the earth - Leave room for nature - Leave room for nature.

2. Yeah, that 500 Million number is the scariest part...

Funny thing is, most of the rest of it sounds OK (except for the eugenic potential of 2)...

Eliminating over 90% of the world's population does seem to be part of the current world political agenda -- gutting health care, restricted drug availabilty to lower classes and poorer countries, wealth concentration, automation of production, AIDS, SARS, mad-cow, starvation, international nuclear war, chemical/biological war, endless conventional war... not to mention the USA PATRIOT act.

I've often wondered about sustainability of the world's population. The US just passed 290 Million a couple weeks ago -- and as the anti-abortion folks would point out, that's about 30-50 million less than it would be without Roe v. Wade. And the abortion figures are probably much higher in the old USSR states, not to mention the sometimes barbaric population controls reported in China. The world would probably be at 7 billion without those measures. Not endorsing them, just noting their impact.

Although the guidestones are vague, I'm guessing the 10% they aim to keep are the wealthy elites, primarily white. And maybe 10% of the 500 Million to work in factories, farms, stores, janitorial, and other "service" positions.

On a global scale, I wonder what percentage of Americans fall within the wealthiest 10% of the world? Maybe 50%? 35%

In general, wealthy white couples are only having one or two children -- which is about the rate to sustain a population. It's the (usually) poor families having 4 or 6 kids that contribute to the exponential increase in population.

Won't surprise me a bit the day the New World Order starts rounding up the poorest 90% of us and starts herding us/them into work camps, to slowly starve to death while stockpiling resources for the controlling 10%.

...of course, that doesn't stop me from wanting to drive down there with a semi-truck to knock the damn things over.
