Very important read. Soros, as we know is a very very dangerous guy.....

Reply 3 - Posted by: pineledger, 1/3/2004 7:48:34 AM

And crazy as a coot.

Reply 10 - Posted by: Midwest Mom, 1/3/2004 8:30:08 AM

Soros always looks so unhappy.. All that money and he can only go around looking terribly upset all the time.

Reply 11 - Posted by: eadgbe, 1/3/2004 8:33:42 AM

#10... Just like the ring in the Lord of the Ring... JUST LIKE GOLLUM! He's schizo!

Reply 12 - Posted by: thelady2, 1/3/2004 8:35:40 AM

Soros is a very dangerous man. He must be watched closely and the light needs to be shone on those fronts for him.

We need people out there exposing his connection to these front oraganizations. The Soros Front Organizations, just like the Al Queda front organizations.

He is the true terrorist in our midst as he is trying to buy our silence.

Reply 13 - Posted by: Maybeth, 1/3/2004 9:39:49 AM

Thank you for the article, WSJ. Soros needs to be exposed on a daily basis. He has purchased the democrat party and is attempting to purchase the presidency. I am sure he is convinced that 'he alone' is capable of ruling the world.
This is a very sick man. He continues to buy possessions and people, as he seeks inner satisfaction ...... that which cannot be purchased for any amount of money.

Reply 16 - Posted by: bean, 1/3/2004 10:00:53 AM

Time to seperate that man from his money.

Reply 17 - Posted by: petie3, 1/3/2004 10:07:42 AM

Keep the flashlights on him; cockroaches don't function very well in the light.
The Clintons are old friends, and will take any philosiphical position given enough cash.
Soros used to take the persuasion approach and spread money around Europe to like-minded one-worlders to create the EU, that ponzi game Poland is just finding out about. Now as he ages, he is getting impatient. That is his weakness; the more he gets 'open' the less we'll like him.
International socialist.

Reply 20 - Posted by: M2, 1/3/2004 10:13:41 AM

It appears Mr. Soros has been buying up judges, lawyers and educational organizations as fast as he can. Clearly the man is a dangerous leftie control freak with a LOT of money. It doesn't get too much more horrendous than that.

Reply 21 - Posted by: mabelkitty, 1/3/2004 10:16:49 AM

Does he hate Christians? Is he American?
His true agenda is starting to reveal itself.

Reply 23 - Posted by: ForNow, 1/3/2004 10:25:28 AM

Soros may be another piece in the puzzle of a family of potential strategies to cause electorally important US states to suffer economic difficulties during 2004.

Reply 24 - Posted by: erp, 1/3/2004 10:41:47 AM

#22 You mention McCain who I believe is the most dangerous man in the country right now. The most egotistical too. I think he can be flattered into running as an independent.

With someone like Soros bank rolling him, he can put Hillary back in the White House, just like Perot put Mr. Hillary in the White House in '92 with only 43% of the vote.

This is my worst nightmare and probably the only way the president can be defeated.

Reply 25 - Posted by: MargaretM., 1/3/2004 10:42:37 AM

And, Bush wouldn't veto the stupid McCain-Feingold law.

Just wait to see what we hear on the TV news during the 60 days prior to the election -- there will be unbelievable lies and assertions and no way to counter them.

Bush's lead will be whittled away, I fear.

Reply 26 - Posted by: Halfgenius, 1/3/2004 10:45:53 AM

Soros's intentions certainly ned to be kept under watch. His agenda and connections, the Democrats that are feeding freely in his stable need to be named and exposed. This is just more proof of the anti-American and unpatriotic platform that IS the Democrat party. Soros couldn't inject his ideology if it weren't for the conspiracy and subterfuge in the Democrat pary leadership to thwart capitalism and this American Republic for world dominance. Sounds weird but what other reason can there be?

The only "attention he deserves" is that of a panel of psychiatrists.

Did we ever get that dictum revoked--that we should conduct no political assassinations?

And if not now, when?

Reply 30 - Posted by: starboard, 1/3/2004 11:11:29 AM

Ditto #12
#21 Soros is a naturalized US citizen but he ain't no American.
During the Clinton years this guy had a field day making his sleazy millions. One of the reasons why he hates Bush so much is because the Patriot Act makes moving his money around very difficult. I would not be surprised to find out if he was cozy with Saddam, Chirac and his EU buddies. Or maybe some of his money is tied up somewhere.

What's at stake here is the war we are fighting at home for the heart and soul of this nation...our constitution, our culture, and our rights as a free people. Make no mistake if the Democrats ever get elected to power again ala Soros' millions, they will sell us out to the highest bidder, the Third Way, the Open Society,The Clinton Mafia, etc. and The United States we once knew will be relegated to the history books. This 2004 election is not about Bush it's about you and me and our grandchildren.

Reply 33 - Posted by: Hazymac, 1/3/2004 11:36:39 AM

The solution, of course, is to let the democrats get all the way in bed with Soros, exchange a few bodily fluids, then expose Soros's ties to our enemies, particularly those who sponsor or participate in terrorism. Goodbye Soros. Goodbye 'rats in his money till.

What a bunch of whining maggots!

The Republican Party is funded by tons of these super rich people and we have one and they lose their mind.

Haven't these a-holes ever heard of Richard Mellon Scaife?

"Buying the Presidency?"...They suddenly have a problem with that?

These people are out of their ever-loving minds.

6. Seriously..
I've heard about some of this man's plans for 2004; I'd freak-out too if I were a Republican.

His plan is to use nonprofit orgs to boost turnout in 17 key electoral states - all states that Gore barely won and barely lost. But the trick will be that turnout will mostly be boosted in Democratic strongholds, which will tilt the election more to us.

He'll also be giving money to organizations that advertise against the Chimp on TV. This should help in keeping us competitive on television until the last month of the election, when campaign finance limits kick-in. It allows our candidate's campaign to hold-off somewhat on advertising and then spend more money in that final crucial month. Pretty sweet. (I'm advocating that our candidate use some of the money saved to buy a prime-time slot for an infomercial on the Sunday night before the election - it might bump the undecideds into our corner enough so that we can win).

So yes.. I have great hopes for the tens of millions of dollars he'll be pledging to the defeat of the Chimp. And I enjoy watching those Neanderthals quiver in their cowboy boots.

8. Their Bushworld
is crumbling around them and they don't know what to do. They seem to forget about the SCOTUS giving them the presidency. Are those the "bought" judges? If so, they seem to have forgotten it. These people are not redeemable. They are so into the dark side they will never recover. I hope Soros has good bodyguards.

your comment is ironic considering who Soros is, he so far has been intimately involoved in 2 successful NON-VIOLENT coups. Yugoslavia and Georgia. Arming ourselves would be taking away our greatest asset.

11. FRIGHTENING TIMES
We truly live in frightening times. I am watching a movie about Mussolini and the unconcious Americans living there during WWII .

There are a lot of discussions like this(mentioned above) that are increasingly violent.

We have a group and a large group of people in our country who are intolerant to the point of violence. They do it in the name of Christianity. We must not allow this to continue as in another Bush term of power ,otherwise the America we remember will be no more. These people have no regard for the Constitution or Bill of Rights. It is all greed hate and personal power.

The people at the top of the Democratic Party just don't get it. This isn't oh well we will get who we want in 4 years. So much damage could be done to our country and the world it wouldn't matter.

As for you who continue to proclaim "Bush LIte" to almost every Democratic candidate, get a grip. None of them are Bush and even the weakest would be a major step up to salvaging our image and reputation with the rest of the world. And let us not forget Patriot Act II just went into law. Can you say Loss of personal freedom?

I believe the Nazi's referred to the Jews as rats.

12. Good post.
Welcome!

You're right about any of the current 9 being better than the Chimp. If Lieberman were to get the nomination, I'd be able to smile while voting for him. Yup. It's all about the Supreme Court..

17. I found this quote especially telling:
"The solution, of course, is to let the democrats get all the way in bed with Soros, exchange a few bodily fluids, then expose Soros's ties to our enemies, particularly those who sponsor or participate in terrorism. Goodbye Soros. Goodbye 'rats in his money till."

As tactics go, it might work, if Soros were shown to have ties to terrorists. Which I doubt. But we already know that Republican Grover Norquist has ties to terrorists; so, I'd turn it around, and say the following: "The solution, of course, is to let the republicans get all the way in bed with Norquist, exchange a few bodily fluids, then expose Norquist's ties to our enemies, particularly those who sponsor or participate in terrorism. Goodbye Norquist. Goodbye 'pubs in his money-and-influence till."
