What type of conservative do you hate the least?
neoconservative - has only one priority: making the world safe for Ariel Sharon

paleoconservative - Buchanan-style, opposes imperialism, strongly against progressivism in social issues, anti-freetrade

libertarian - (this refers to true libertarians like Ron Paul, not porn, beer, and war radio "libertarians") to model America after Switzerland

I would say paleoconservative because trade is more important than social issues for me. How about you? Are there any other categories you can think of?

2. I don't HATE anyone -
I love my country and hate what conservatism (which is the natural outgrowth of selfishness, hatred, fear and xenophobia) does to the country that I love.

Liberalism is responsible for much of what has made this country great (equal opportunity, equal protection and rights, the treatment of minorities the same as treatment for the majority).

Too often in history we have fallen down on these tremendous liberal values but with hard work we always get back up.

3. I like Ron Paul.
He's been very vocal about the loss of civil liberties that have occurred due to the Patriot Act. I'm sure he and I wouldn't agree on a lot of economic issues, but if I had to make a choice, I guess I'd rather be poor and free!

13. +1
I'm maybe too easy on him out of the fact it's cool to listen to an elected R criticize Bush.

Libertarians don't bug me, although I bump heads one that is convinced America is a Christian Nation. Most Libertarian's greatest sin is being unrealistically idealistic.

4. NOTA: The Confident Conservative
The one who forms their opinions based on their own observations and are confident enough in them that nothing I can say is going to make them fly off the handle. These are the conservatives I can actually have an interesting conversation with and exchange viewpoints with, find common ground in some places and agree to disagree in others.

5. It's true... I hate most Conservatives~
Edited on Wed Jan-07-04 10:30 PM by Avalon Sparks
I hate them and I make them cry like babies in a verbal debate.

However, the Conservative whom I don't hate is the ones with lots and lots of money - that are truly in the top 1%. They are voting within their own financial interests and I don't blame them.

As an middle class person, I believe I vote in my financial interests by voting Democrat.

It's the idiot Conservatives that vote against their own financial interests that piss me off the most. They are usually fundies, bigots, or just plain IGNORANT.

21. It's...
one of those radio hosts who preach neoconservatism, but to make conservatism appealing to people who drink beer and watch lots of porn, they call themselves libertarian and don't talk much about religion.

Think Larry Elder and Neal Boortz.

14. Paleoconservative...
I actually like Buchanan cause he has a sense of humor and doesn't always ape the party line.

15. None of the above
We are all entitled to our own beliefs, the only people I despise are the fake conservatives. People who will say anything to manipulate others to vote against their own best interests so their cronies can loot and destroy our nation.

18. An honest one, if we can find them?
While I may disagree with a conservative on a lot of issues, if they are honest about it and not just spouting Reich Wing talking points, I can at least respect where they are coming from. That said, I prefer the now nearly defunct Rockefeller Republicans over most conservatives in Congress.

19. I think the religious conservatives frustrate me the most
I can't stand it when they thump the bible in order to prove that they aren't required to assist the poor via welfare etc.

Necons come in a close second.

Moderate conservatives and Rinos are the ones I like the best.
