Can anyone tell me how Iraq is "fighting the war on terror" ? Anyone ?
That meme is repeated over and over and over. And yet, all attempts to prove any sort of Saddam-Osama connection have fizzled. Has anyone ever shown that Saddam EVER sponsored a terrorist attack anywhere? I mean, how can they keep saying this and not get called on it?

2. Nope. No connection.
The closest connection is this: Saddam gave money to the families of Palestinian suicide bombers. So you could say truthfully that he "supported terrorists". But he didn't support any terrorists that attacked the United States, and of course had nothing whatsoever to do with 9/11.

10. That was the Saudis
The story came out about how the SAUDIS gave familys whos homes were destroyed money. Within a few days that evolved into "Its rumored that Iraq gives them the money". Within 2 weeks it morphed into "Iraq gave the familys $10k". I remember being appalled (It happened during Bushes early Saddam/War talk period). Im amazed that nobody said anything or even noticed.

12. I thought I had seen photos of Saddam signing checks at least a year b4
But I could be wrong.

Regardless, it made no sense to single out Iraq for supporting Palestinian terrorists when Saudis, Egyptians, and many others were doing it too.

3. did you see the "war on terrrorism" medal to be awarded to soldiers..
The pentagon decided to combine the Afghanistan and Iraq wars together into one nifty "war on terrorism" medal for the returning soldiers. Rummy denies any politics to it at all... :puke:

4. In a debate, someone would mention his suicide bomber fund
I haven't done much research on that myself, but supposedly Saddam gave money to Palestinian families, which may have included the families of suicide bombers. Pretty weak, in other words.

The war on terror is just a waving hand to distract people while others raid the Treasury.

13. Someone please correct me...
if I'm wrong...
But didn't he give money to the bomber's families after their homes were bulldozed by the Israelis?

6. Not me. But the media continues to link the two....
Especially that POS network Faux. Every story from Iraq is prefaced by their 'War on Terror' animated graphic.

The use of this graphic has recently expanded to being used before North Korea stories as well.

Pisses me off to no end....

8. consider the "war on terra" as the latest scam, mere vehicle for US power
In that sense, Iraq is indeed a part of it.. though this is not the way that the crusade propagandists publically present their PR blitz.

11. Ask the White House folks. They'd be happy to explain it all to you.
It's all a bunch of crap, but they'd explain it nonetheless.

14. not all intelligence is open to civilian eyes...
So I'm sure there are at least some connections to terrorists. I haven't seen the CIA refute it. I don't expect the government to show us every bit of intelligence they have on Saddam Hussein. I'm guessing most of his connections to terrorists are Palestinian terrorists and not those directly targetting America.
