read the new book "Perfectly Legal." You will be amazed. If you are among those families with household incomes between $75,000 and $200,000 this should make you angry enough to never vote for a Republican or Dem who supported Bush's tax cuts.

2. I agree - the NPR discussion on Fresh Air was excellent
I was surprised that this fellow knew as much as he did.

He even used my line that the 400 top families, and indeed most of the 13000 families that are very rich(1 million of "reported" income (this number is usually chosen by these folks)), choose to pay in tax what they want to pay in any given year.

And he knew the games - indeed I feel much safer now that the book is out and my open mouth can no longer get me in trouble - at least over this!

:-)

:toast:

:-)

by the way, to listen to NPR's Fresh Air interview (about 45 minute) you need to allow pop up windows for that period (NPR runs the audio in a pop-up) - I just restored my filter after listening last night, and no problem.

Did you know the income tax once taxed capital gains at a higher rate than wages!

4. I hope some of the "lurkers" here will find time to read the book
it will help open their blinded minds.
