WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Bush administration officials "systematically" misrepresented the danger of Iraq (news - web sites)'s weapons of mass destruction programs, which were not an immediate threat to the United States and the Middle East, a report from a U.S. think tank said on Wednesday.

Puleeze. Pisses me off that they don't seem to realize this is a massive achilles heel for the dope in the WH. But as usual, Leiberman will be all over the TV bowing at the Bush altar. Daschle will say shit. And from the rest - cricket, cricket.

5. Heard Powell say on Nightline that "Saddam wouldn't tell us what he had"

(a slight paraphrase but you can check it out on the Nightline transcript). I almost fell off my chair. Saddam kept telling us that he had not WMDs and the 8,000 page report they gave us claimed that the bio-WMDs had been destroyed. What the hell else did they expect? We kept asking for "proof" that the WMDs had been destroyed and they kept saying that the scientists present would tell them but in many cases there were no "documents" (documents...something the EU-anglosaxon-white ethnic groups always consider compelling evidence even though documents can be forged)to "prove" the destruction of the materials.

It is shameful that the American media allows the Bush administration to continue to tell these lies as though they were truths. No one ever calls the administration on the lie that "Saddam kicked out the inspectors" when, in fact, the inspectors left on their own.

How long is this shit going to go on?
