Washington State Feed Mills Violate Mad Cow Rules
Larry Bohlen, of Friends of the Earth, was just on CBC Newsworld and said that at least 8 feed mills in Washington state are in violation....He said there is absolutely no proof that the mad cow from the Washington state farm actually got the disease in Canada....Even though it was born in Canada, who knows where it was fed the tainted feed?.....I'm posting this not to say Canada is blameless, but to inform you that they seem to be doing a sort of cover up....As if once they trace the birth place as being out of the country....that proves that U.S.A. born cattle are safe.....

According to an FDA website, M & E Seed & Grain Co. Inc, a non-FDA licensed feed mill located in Prosser, Wash., is a violator of Mad Cow prevention rules. It is located 13 miles from Mabton, Wash., the town where the first case of Mad Cow was discovered this month. M & E handles cattle feed and also distributes material prohibited in cattle feed, which raises a red flag. M & E was last inspected in October 2002.
