Can we come up with some anti-Bush sound bites?
Forget about who the candidate may or may not be. That is not the purpose of this exercise.

In December of 2001, I coined a term that seemed applicable and could still be used to good effect against the Bushwahzee. "Enronomics" fits precisely how Bush has been handling the finances of this country, selling out the future to line the pockets of investors right now.

These assholes are vulnerbale on thousands of issues and in hundreds of thousands of areas, but trying to explain these things in even terms to the general public does not and will not work. Sound bites are the answer, and DU can come up with some.

So I'll start off with one that will only fire up the most fanatic of the anti-Bush base who have also seen The Princess Bride and is directed specifically at the entire GOP:

My name is Walt Starr. You stole my election. Prepare to DIE!

3. Not so much a soundbyte...
as a quick punchy arguement:

"George Bush want's to cut your taxes, he says it's your money and you should keep it, which is a good thing, because under a republican controlled government, you're going to be making less of it than ever."

Then hit them with:

-The overtime rules changes

-The "labor" departments tips for employers to avoid paying overtime to those that still qualify

-Bush's new slav, I mean "guest worker", proposal

14. Gentleman's C
Back in the day, if you were the son of a famous alum, you could coast through Yale and get what was called a "Gentleman's C"... they wouldn't dare fail the grandchild of somebody that was a US Senator (Prescott Bush) and a multi-millionaire who could donate cash to the school.

7. Bush I - "Read my lips" ... Bush II - "Read my lip service"
They could do a killer of an ad campaign, morphing Poppy Bush saying "Read my lips" into dubya's face, with a list of all the things he's promised and failed to deliver. Top of the list would be the "support the troops" rhetoric.

Whatta buncha bull. The real symbol of the Repub party.

13. Chasing around Iraq won't stop the next Timothy McVeigh/Mohamed Atta.
That's just for starters. Here are some more:

Bush is making enemies faster than he can "defeat" them.

Bush goes to the UNITED KINGDOM and draws 100,000 protesters. He can't even speak in Parliament, due to fear of open dissent. And this is in an allied nation. Can you imagine how our non-allies feel about him?

Bush has a mania for secrecy and power that would make Nixon blush.

You might also check out Eleanor Clift's comments on Bush. I can't recall how she phrased it, but she more or less said this was the most secretive administration since Nixon.

George Bush: Government of the plutocrats, for the plutocrats, and by the plutocrats.
