Charles-Edouard Jeanneret (Le Corbusier) versus Antonio Gaudi |
|
Having seen the marvel of Gaudi in his hometown of Barcelona I lean towards his whimsy in contrast to the functionality of Le Corbusier. Even at that I think Le Corbusier would kick Gaudi’s ass in an aggressive game of Twister.

1. I'll take Gaudi. He is a bit gaudier than Le Corbu. |

(next to Wright).
Gaudi...very decorative and orginal. However, spatially, not that innovative.
(I do like the terrace at Parc Guell, though)
..on edit, Corbu isnt as functional as his designs look at first...and he started moving towards this very idiosyncratic style after WWII.
