it's non-partisan, but guess which ones you think are Dems and which are Repukes. I'm sure at least the majority would be Democrats, but oh well, guess whether they look more like Dems or Repukes:

3. there has been "spot the Republican" games here before, but in this case..

I don't know. it's a non-partisan ballot. that's why I'm asking.

I am very sure the mayor is a Democrat though, he'd have to be to be elected here. The first guy is elected at large, so he'd have to be a Democrat too.

8. Exactly right-not a Repuke on the whole city council

but I think Tim Toomey looks like one. He is also the state rep for the 26th Middlesex district. He is very liberal.

12. Not weird

If you take all councils across the U.S., I wouldn't be surprised if half are still ALL MEN, with a good 40% all WHITE MEN.

The one I serve on is all white men (and 6 out of 7 are Democrats).

It's just that in this town, I'd be surprised if there'd ever been a woman or minority council member.

That said this area is going through rapid development and growth and the population of the borough has moderated enough that the council finally sent a police officer to learn Spanish.

And all police officers are white men. All the employees are men, except two... The secretarys.

Hey - I've only been on council for three months - so don't yell at me ;)
