Hell, it took me six years to finally clean that damned keyboard. At this rate, I won't clean it again until 2010!

The last time I did that I broke a metal piece on the space bar and ended up buying a new keyboard. I swear I will never, ever clean my keyboard again! I hope your cleaning worked better for you.

I used paper towels dabbed with rubbing alcohol. What did you use on your keyboard?

5. Did you know you can actually wash them? |
|
Just make sure it is thoroughly dry before you hook it back up.

I was concerned enough that the rubbing alcohol would seep down under the keys and cause serious damage. Thankfully, it appears not to have done so. But I don't think I wanna risk washing the keyboard!
Thanks for the heads-up, though. :hi:

10. I tried it once, after seeing it on TechTv |
|
When I hooked it back up, my computer went crazy. I thought I had ruined it, but it turned out it just wasn't completely dry. Not for the faint of heart. :)

9. Did you buy it in Seattle in the early 90's? |
|
if so, find a guy with a flannel shirt on and donate it.
Time for a new one? But what to choose? There hasn't been any original music since the grunge days! Recycled melodies and lack of!

14. ah, the joys of keyboard skins . . . |
|
whenever I buy a new computer, the first thing I invest in is a keyboard skin . . . keeps the little buggers clean as a whistle . . . the keyboard from my last computer is about ten years old and looks like new . . .
